Here are your outs
1) Pack was opened and left under neighbors porch (it is illegal to open mail that is not addressed to you) The fact that the pack was open when your neighbor found it, will be more than obvious that the pack was tampered with and the evidence will easily be thrown out of court.
2) Pack was found not in your residence, your personal posssesion, or vehicle.
3) Person could have opened your pack took out the "DVDs" you ordered and for some reason replaced them with illegal steroids.

There are too many outs for them to proceed with this case, so dont worry on that end. The cop was going fishing and seeing if you would be dumb enough to confess. Although it wouldnt take but a good lawyer to do this, it doesnt mean that you wont be under a microscope for a while, so keep that in mind.

PS, not sure if you let the cop in or not when he came over, but in the majority of states LE are allowed to do a weapons search for their and your safety. and anything found can be used against you. The catch is that a weapon must be in plain sight, or with reach from you, but of course many cops will push the limits, search inside drawers, etc... and people not knowing any better confess, or get busted.

It is always best to do your talking on the front step no matter how cold, or late it is. You can also refuse to answer any questions and very politley ask them to leave if you feel they are getting too pushy.

listen-if sending illegal drugs to houses for a way to set some1 up-well then might as well send drugsto your worst ememy and have him locked up, even better cops be sending dope dealers drugs in mail then bust them----i talked to a states attorney on this matter-they have to prove you had knowledge you ordered the drugs and wanted to ship it to your house..a jury is not gonna convict a person for receiving a box in the mail w/drugs if you had no idea wut it was--gezz think bout it I MAY NEVER OPEN MAIL AGAIN IF THATS THE CASE
 
Yes everyone, we all agree that the pack is totally insufficient for a conviction. But it is enough for a search warrant. Which is why we instructed him to clean house.

Format is a lot cheaper, but it appears that wipedrive will do the trick.

Make sure to copy things that you do want to keep to a CD or something.

After wiping the drive, you will need to reinstall the OS or use a recovery disk or something.
 
Here in OZ it's not that bad if you get caught with stuff for personal use. A mate got caught with a few d/bol & some test e. He got a $400 fine. He had some fire crackers & nun chucks under his bed ( he is a kick boxer ) They did him for EXPLOSIVES, $600 & dangerous weapons, $300. They took his mobile & downloaded his simcard onto their computer. He had some test e in a 100ml L-Carnitine bottle (we get 200ml bladders of sheep test here & we split it between us). He got a call from the cops to come & pick up his stuff from the station. They gave him the L-Carnitine back as it is otc here. I'm just finishing it off now, he didn't want to keep it anymore. They were looking for ex as he is a bouncer & he obviously pissed someone off so they told the cops he was dealin ex. They searched his house & got everything but. I know he wouldn't deal drugs, but someone screwwed him cos he didn't let em into a club or some shit.

They would need a lot more to get a court order to release ISP records. I wouldnt worry about that, unless they find shit on your computer, then they have it. The link here is your PC.
 
heed my advice brother. and yes. add in the pastic surgery. have your face reconstructed into the mexican dog man. 300 gb hard drives are like $60. Is your freedom worth $60? I knw mine is. I would format it 10 times, smash it with a hammer into pieces, and then burn it and maybe even put a strong magnet near it, then take it to a dumster somewhere and dispose of it. Can't be too safe and it wouldnt be all that hard really.
 
You should really do whatever is gonna make you sleep better at night. If you feel better formatting, do it....If you feel safer ditching the drive do that.

I can't speak for the states....but I think cops are the same there as in Canada. If a uniform officer knocked on your door about it and you didn't give him anything else to go on...it is safe to bet this whole thing ends right there. Police do not tip you off that they are onto you...then build a case. If the officer had any grounds to obtain a search warrant it would have been done that day. Here in Canada, the longer they wait to get a warrant the harder it is for them to be obtained. Search warrants are not granted on suspicion, the officer has to swear an oath that they have grounds to believe the the shit they are searching for is in that place at that time.

But again, if you are stressing over this....do whatever will make you feel better.

Copy the info you want off your drive, get ride of it, burn it ect. I really don't think your going to have ap roblem , 400 bucks of gear is not 10,000 . But if you really are scared then burn the shit and buy a new one for 70 bucks.

Never have gear sent to your house again.

3)Beat the fuck out of your neighbors for fucking with your shit. If they were worthwhile they would have called you and said hey, weve got a package delivered to us by accident.

it's not enough for a search warrant. he's a lot safer having gear inside his house than he is packing it up in his car and driving somewhere else to store it. You have absolutely NO rights in an automobile.

arnt ISP records useless in court? thats just what i heard in the past...i thought they needed to physically find watever it is on your hard drive for them to go forward with it but you should be fine if ur really worried bout it then just do what these guys have said
