Someone may have already said this but I didn't read all the responses. Stop talking to them. You don't have to talk to them. Anything you say can and WILL be used against you. I have seen sooo many people get deeper into the shit by trying to talk their way out of the shit. Just be polite and firm,,,,say I don't know anything about that, and I don't have anything else to say. And don't let them in without a warrant.

Either they are good folks and give it back, or bad folks and trow it away/use it themselves. But calling the cops is utter dorkness.
You're experiencing what I call a Chinese Fire Drill, no offense to the Chinese. Lots of panic, few established facts. Here are some guidelines:
1) If police told you the box was opened and found tossed in a neighbor's yard they will stick to that story whether it's true or not. They came to your house on a fishing trip. Wanted to see if you would admit anything they could use to make an arrest or return with a search warrant. They may or may not.
2) Get all gear, syringes, anti-e's, HCG, GH, party drugs and drug paraphernalia out of your place. (Including your car, including that hollow tree stump in the woods behind your house.) Be thorough. Regarding your computer, go through it with a fine-tooth comb and eliminate any drug- or juice-related files or links. Emails, lists, articles, stored lists of "favorited" sites or "recently visited" sites. After you've done this manually, purchase and install a program called Evidence Eliminator. Make sure it's configured to clean out every possible hidden file type. Run EE and it will erase and overwrite all free space on your hard drive, painting layers of meaningless data over deleted or discarded files, so they can't be recovered by even the best forensic software.
3) If there is gear or other contraband that you have already ordered, be prepared for what's called a "controlled delivery." A postal or Customs offer, usually not your regular mail man, will arrive with the package and ask you to sign for it. If you sign, it's proof you were expecting it and establishes your guilt. So don't sign or accept anything. Say you have no idea what it is, so please return it to sender.
4) If visited again by police or Customs officials, politely insist on your right not to answer any questions without a lawyer present. Agree to absolutely nothing. If they say, "Look, we know you just have a small, personal use amount," don't even say "That's right." The only acceptable answer to any question is, "I'll be more than happy to come in and talk to you with my lawyer present."
5) Don't assume there is a 3-week or 6-week or 6-month window, beyond which you're free and clear. Law enforcement gets paid by the hour, and it's just as beneficial to them to bust you in 6 months as it is to bust you today. Stay alert, and keep your "heightened security measures" high until you're absolutely convinced it's safe to relax again.

the same exact thing happen to me. cop knoked on the door with a box of gear! the neighbor had opened it and had thought it was a bomb or something cause the way it was packaged. i played dump also and got my computer the hell out of there
I dont think some random person wud open ur package for the hell of it?? thats disrespectful. u either have fucked up neighbours or maybe the cops r on u. remove ur harddrive, save wut u need to save, burn it or throw it out somewhere far, and just rebuild ur computer again.im sure u might know someone who can do it for cheap, or there r tons of stores that can do it for a couple hundred.

It's a federal crime to open someone's mail. I'd be more pissed at my neighbor than any law enforcement official. That's fucked up.
I've heard of authorities 'manhandling' suspected packs of contraband. Voila~ a vial breaks, the pack begins leaking, and they have reasonable suspicion to open the pack.

Calls itself a free country, then goes ahead and does communist stuff like banning weed and Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) when they are perfectly safe if used properly, while leaving alcohol and tobacco to reign free in the market - two drugs that cause a million times more damage worldwide than any drug banned today.
On a side note, what would be the "safest" way to get international gear? Stealth gear at a p.o box should be pretty safe right? Especially in small ass quantities, a couple of sachets in total per order. Or is there something else to it?

Dude..maybe it is the love of ur life that's scrweing around with you and tryin to get ur gear caught..just a thought..u might wanna think abt that too..additionally i think u also need to worry abt your mail record..not just email but also ur home mail/postal records..they can look up your history and determine that you have received several other packages from the same shipper over the last several years or months..if they want to then they can easily dig into a lot of things..just be careful and on the look out..just my advice
Your fine man, I've been following this post and had to ask my bro who happens to be a cop what he would do and he confirmed that the cop who busted you was doing nothing more than letting you know in a very scary way that it may not be a good idea to continue with the deliveries. Plain and Simply you good to go

The cops were at your the OP's house as they SUSPECT him. If you are ever a suspect in a crime, even in the slightest, THERE IS NO UPSIDE TO TALKING TO THE POLICE. NONE. Jesus Christ this has been proven over and over again. There is not a gaddamn thing you can tell the cops that will make them say, "you know, you are right, we got the wrong guy"
You would much rather get the cops all riled up by refusing to talk versus giving them ANY information which they will use to paint you into a corner and/or get a fuking warrant.
If the cops come to the door, do not open the door. Talk to them through the window. I know you are gonna feel weird doing that, but you will thank me later when they give up on the case.
Do you think OJ would be in jail if he would have kept his hole shut out in Vagas. I am gonna say No!!!
By the way, you only need to invoke your right to remain silent ONCE with the cops. Make it clear to them that you do not want to talk to them PERIOD. If they push it, tell to respect your civil rights.

Wiping a drive is the same thing as formatting a drive minus about a meg to make the disk bootable (format c: /s), an unused sector is written with zeros. When you delete something on a Windows machine, all you do is remove an entry in what used to be called a File Allocation Table. The hexadecimal addresses that the data was stored on, will remain in place. You can help remove that problem by defragmenting the drive, or picking up software to scrub free areas with zeros. It used to be said that the feds could retrieve anything that was scrubbed up to seven times, I'm not sure what todays world looks like as far as data retrieval.
Format it a dozen times and reinstall windows, or buy a new drive and start fresh if you like. Drives are dirt cheap now a days.
