sore glutes after heavy deadlifting

This is the first time I have ever had sore glutes after deadlifting. Anyone know what I might have done this workout that I haven't done on previous workouts? Maybe I was lifting too heavy and my form wasn't good? Maybe I have just been doing them wrong all along and this is actually normal.

Any advice appreciated.
 
I don't think anyone here can really comment on your deadlift form unless you post a video clip of your lift.

Nothing wrong with muscle soreness. Deads use quads, glutes, abs, and other muscles I believe.
 
Deadlift form really wasn't that hard for me to get down. Do you keep your ass out try stand up high and break the weight off the floor with almost like a leg press. Make sure you don't round your back. Trust me if you did them really wrong your ass wouldn't be sore you ass wouldn't be lifting for a month or so. You really do need to post pic's like mranank said.
Do you do sumo style or standard?
