Squat Briefs

I injured my groing a few weeks back and its been really slowing me down. I just got a pair of Inzer goove briefs and I was able to squat very light this week. I've never used them before so its all new to me.

My question is this. Will using these briefs slow my healing time down too much? Without them I just cant squat so I just do leg presses, curls...etc. But with them I can go light and start squatting again.

Talked to a couple powere lifters at my gym and its been mixed, but most say put the briefs on and go light for awhile. Any insight would be appreciated from you guys.

Thanks.

if they support your groin muscle and allow you to lift relatively pain free i say go for it . just dont get to heavy to fast . the extra blood flow may stimulate healing .

I don't know about the groin but the inzer power pants were the best 30 bucks i ever spent. They allow me to go an inch or two below parallel with moderate weight without my hips screaming for mercy.

Thanks for the reply DADAWG. There really is alot of groin support with these briefs. Tough to get used to though having never used them. But I am going to continue as you said with light weight. I just didnt want to do more damage than good. But if I keep the weight light I hope to stay together.

You mentioned the extra blood flow perhaps helping stimulate healing. Never even entered my mind. Very helpful of you. Thanks for your help. Very much appreciated.

Jcp2 thank you as well. I was looking at those Inzer power pants. You like them huh? I wasnt sure which to get so I opted for the groove briefs. I may order a pair of those as well. Cant hurt. Thanks for your insight.

well since i didnt use the quote button and didnt feel like editing this post to get to the smiley face i though it was appropriate. =0)

JBD I never used them before now and am still learning, but I got both the "groove briefs" and the "power pants". The briefs like Mudge said look like underwear and are really tight. The pants are longer and fit down to my mid thigh like a pair of shorts. But both fit tight as hell to help with support. Same concept as a bench shirt I suppose.

I've been lifting for over 20 years and never used these until a recent groing injury and they do help alot for sure. Power lifters are well versed with them. These guys gave me alot of guidence and help on what to get and how to use them.

just got some powerpants recently myself and i like them much better than the briefs but the legs dont go down on my leg but a couple of inches . its still much more comfortable than the briefs leg which is right in the crease

Jcp2 and DADAWG,
I just want to say thanks for the insight on the Inzer power pants you gave me awhile back. I got a pair soon after I read your post and they are great. I like them much better than the briefs. Just wanted to say thanks.
