Started TRT replacement 6wks ago and not feeling better.

Hi guys, I started my TRT 6wks ago My stats are 37 y/o 5'11'" 220lbs today. My Doc started put me on Test. Cyp. 200mg every other week. It's been 6wks now and I'm not feeling any better, very sluggish low libido and a little depressed even though I'm on 10mg Celexa. I have also been suffering from Uc for the last 12yrs, My other meds are 3-1.2g Lialda (mesalamine) daily and 1-50mg Purinethol daily which is very hard on my liver. Is there anything out there to help things kick in that aren't bad for the liver? I was thinking about some clen. to aid in weight loss. How long does it take for the test. to kick in? Also she I be seeing a specialist instead of my primary care Doc? Here are my test results:

Sorry for the large post, just trying to be accurate as possible.

Besides the two week caveat 200mg/weekly is used by many on the board. It pushing my levels to the supra physiological! I've since dropped to 175mg/week.

I work out 6 days a week and feel markedly better. My libido is better, muscle tone better, finally seeing the gains I feel like were missing, stomach getting smaller, more energy, much better mood. For erections just take 50mg of Viagra or other. I love ED meds as much as I love TRT. You can put on a show when you take them, so I love them. Feel like a porn star lol.

Best of luck!!

What are your numbers since therepy?

You still need to be in the mood for viagra to work if I'm in the mood I get hard. It's the getting in the mood is whats getting me. My wife used to sell Viagra pfizer rep.

well your not feeling better because your doc has no clue how to administer TRT, give us a call we will get you straightened out in no time.

Taking 400mg once every two weeks is going to put you on a huge roller coaster and cause a big spike in estradiol as you are not taking an aromatase inhibitor. Sounds like you need a new doctor.

First thing, you need to start injecting 100mg of test every 3.5 days. That will help level things out for you.

You need to check you blood work. Total Testosterone, Estradiol, CBC and Metabolic Panel. See how your numbers are looking.

Have you discussed how to manage estradiol with your doctor?

How do you know you are depressed? The way one feels when he is hypogonadal can easily be confused with depression.

Our age hieght and wieght is about the same, im 13% bf. I am on 240mg of test c a week split into 2 doses a week, Blood levels are great. I have them listed, you can see them in the trt section. I thought 240mg a week was a lot, but thats what it took for me.

Thanks for the tips. But low libido and ED are 2 different things. I don't have Ed, the bald headed champ has no problem standing tall. I have lack of interest which is low libido, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe there is a difference.
