Starting another cycle # ??

I'm driving that's why I haven't read it lol and I'm using text talk so hopefully I'm not spelling things wrong

This will be my first log on my cycle.

Remember my age and status with layoffs and such. I've gotten up enough nerve to post these two pic;s from Sunday 4-12-15. Remember 1 am a has been and 63 yrs. But I figure, like I tell the newbies and others you are where you are and that's all there is to it. I shouldn't be embarrassed, so here I am and we'll see what I can do considering everything. So hang with me guys hopefully this cycle will help me acquire that look I once had, as a BBs look.

Wt 175 lbs.
Biceps 15"
Yes Gyno :(

Please don't kill me with why are you so skinny and light etc... Lets see what LMM and some other weight will let me look like. One thing is If I lift smart and don't get injured this should be real fun and rewarding.
Today That's what I got to work with, that's it.

You're pushing 64 years old Mike, NEVER be embarrassed as you look MUCH better than many guys HALF your age! You still have a fantastic base, and I have zero doubts that you'll snap right back as long as you don't let pride get in the way.

If you haven't already, I would really suggest you look into HGH. I'm 20 years your junior, but my list of injuries is right up there with yours, and I have been putting some real energy into finding out just how much this can benefit me in the long-term.

Nothing but pure respect man. I'd lift with you any day. ;)

My .02c :)

Thanks so much man. I've been out of sorts because I do want to log this and I had to get over that initial posting my pic. I also found a guy that can take a good pic for me when I need an update. I've never been on a forum to log my cycle gains and I am so excited. Just knowing I am going to log n posts holds my feet to the fire to be diligent, consistent and smart. Smart I've not been much of my life, ergo what I didn't maintain. :Pat:

Well cool man, I feel better already :)

Yesterday, Sun 4-19 I went and worked shoulders and back. I know my shoulders are flat and my back is almost non-existent. It was a good day.

It being the 10th day of Dbol I'm not sure if I am getting benefits yet but I know I was real strong. My shoulder dumbbell workout was great and I think my strength on lateral flys was stronger. I don't keep track SO much as to the weight I'm doing. Some days are strong and some seem (or they were) real weak, very weak. I do what I can push till failure with what I got trying to stick to a weight that I can max rep at 5-8. It's hard to hold back and not go for more.

What I do as the max rep being say 6-7 ish I say to myself, "no need to go for it you'll get hurt" , so lets see if I can do that any reps again or maybe (1) one more. Then I drop it once shooting for 12 and drop again and rep out at maybe 20 reps. I do my three working sets after I warm up with 2 not to get any fatigue. I do three exercises for each body part I work that day. I hit each muscle group twice in 5 days. I must get the best of rest I can, it make n=more of a difference now that I am of this age... booo

I wanted to wait to post until I had time to give it proper time for reflection.

1 thing that really stands out is INJURY FREE-you ve no idea how lucky you are to be able to say that and this cycle like al others(especially at our ) should take into account the strength will far out strip your joint s ability to bear the weights. I ve got a knee w 3 screws, a fused back and a pinned left delt so when I get "stronger " it means I rep 205 for 15-18 on incline and not 185; I curl 50 s 15 plus instead of 12 times.

As an ex powerlifter I am used to BEING STRONG AS --ck for my size and not grabbing 60 s to do curls or putting 225 plus on inclines took some readjusting in wrapping my head around "repping it out" literally. Your ( my) heart is THE most important muscle.period. I don t do more than what I weigh on anything anymore-just increase the rep s.not condusive to getting huge but then .been there...takes way to much food gear and cash for me to weigh much more than I do.

You been at this a long time and I see you filling out nicely in the immediate and long term future; I lok forward to seeing your gains-injury free :-)

Thanks for the well wishes :) This thing of not going for it is hard to wrap my mind around. You are genetically strong I see. I am literally very weak for size, any of my sizes or cycles. I've had to not worry about who's watching who in the gym when I was Younger and even now. I don't like making 63-64 years of age an excuse. This go around I must not push so hard, little but know when to put it down, reps and weigh.

My body is talking to me much more then even 3 years ago. In the last three (3) years age has just overtaken me. My skin, my face and my aches and what strength I had. I don't even bed over and pick up 45 lb. plates. I work with twenty fives (25) and that's all I need for what I lift, just hard to workout with most guys. Too much loading and unloading.

My goal is to, as you said it, to fill out and get the BB look again. I need to carry a little, say bulk to get the basic look I want at the same time brining out some vascularity and definition. With my thin Ecto Body I can do that with the help of some aas, and all that goes with work. I want to see if I can loose some fatty tissue where my abs are and my sides. This might be tough to loose with how little and skinny I am. I'm going to plug in some stationary bike riding in the gym. Just a hard and leaner look around my mid section. Thanks for your attention Teutonic. :)

Dude, who the fuck is going to flame you. There are probably only 1000 64 year old people who are in that great of shape in the entire United States lol. You'll definitely see good results from the cycle, but you probably have to watch a bunch of other health issues while on the cycle but this is not your first rodeo so you know how that shit works.

Stoked for you big Mike.... I'm subbed and eager to see you smash this cycle for all it's worth.

I'm 44 and I can't tell you how inspirational you are when I look towards my future.

I'll chime in with my 02 cents along the way - and between the lot of us, along with your hard work and expertise - we'll get you to where you want to be again my friend!

Good luck!

So this is day 30 on my cycle. Unfortunately I’ve had a couple of setbacks. One was taking a three day layoff while moving to another place of residence while taking care of my wife. Then last week I came down with some bug (illness) and had a low fever two days then I pulled my back while moving an entertainment center in my new apartment. To sum it up I lost some days here and there. My Epidural was rescheduled for June 5th.

Now I’m staying lean even though on Dbol. I’ve gained only 4-5 lbs. but in my book I like it because I am staying clean n lean. Any more weight would be just water, Headaches have stopped, and blood pressure is good. It seems, that judging by side no effects, I have my Estradiol in check. Hopefully because no blood work yet.

My strength is up even through my lack of consistency. Bench is up 30-40 lbs keeping my reps no less than 6-8. Bicep weight is up 20lbs. as well as triceps being 20lbs. My legs are lacking due to my back but I’m working on them.

I feel good about my cycle. It’s coming along at a good pace and isn’t stagnant. I’m happy with my look I’m getting back my BB look. Some who know me and a guy from 25 years ago tell me that I’m coming back and look good. Strangers come up and ask for help.

With my experience I think I’m right on track. This go around the fact that I’m not blowing up with water weight is the way to cycle. What more can I expect. :)

Thats grat mike sorry about the set backs and your back. Keep motivated sounds like you are improving cant wait to see you back :)

Well I just don't know about this cycle and with my age any more. This is day 35 and I haven't really gained as I said, more than 5 - 6 pounds. I can tell the lights are on now by some strength and body physique changes. I must admit though my diet is not on point.

This pic not good but taken at the gym 4-12-15

And this someone took for me at the gym today 5-15-15

The pics are not good I know but I'm trying to see if I'm getting anywhere. :dunno:

You crazy man you crazy.... i see a big difference your delts are way bigger you can see nice shape in your arms. Dont expect enormous gains in 35 days! Your on the right path and already looking better

Thanks.
I need to work on traps but can't handle the compression on my spine to do shrugs. When I think traps I think HEAVEY but maybe light weight will fill them up with a little dumbbell work. Damn what a flat spot Huh :(

Well I'll see what I can do about this...........

Thanks.

I shrug 1 45 on each side smith machine just gotta rep and squeeze

ANd doing reverse flys and upright rows hit the traps. Try holding at the top and squeeze.
Train smarter not harder right!

Thanks, I am doing a lot of reverse fly's for my rear delts and for some reason that's never helped ME with my traps. I see where it should though. I am aware of the squeeze and role at the top of the upright rows. It's an old school I never see done much. Thanks for saying, but that pause n squeeze n role puts that budging pressure on the L discs.

I will try it on the smith where I can lean back a little...Ya think? All these types of moves are a bit touchy and scary for my back.

Ah ha I get my Epidural on June 5th so that will help with being an anti-inflammatory and lighten up some pressure.

I don't like this no trap look. AS I build here I'm trying hard as I see improvements (?) to keep the symmetry even though being small. My lats are also another story. and...and...and.................

Thanks for all the help as I move forward here again.

Most guys I know at 40 are fat and out of shape...or sure as hell getting there. I'm mid forties and all my friends and their wife's look like shit with their clothes on...never mind on a beach.

You look good man. Don't stop.

Keep a clean diet and u will be very happy with that cycle.

This thread is fantastic. You are an inspiration to me with your obvious desire to do this right and for your own reasons. As a forty something, I carry that small piece of doubt with me everywhere that questions why I'm still in this game; why do I still hold on; what am I holding on to? And your determination is a slap to the whiny bitch in my head that questions why I might continue to chase the best version of me. Until they pry it from my cold dead hands!!!!!
