Step test

I have to do a step test to determine MaxVo2 uptake at work in which you basically have them do step ups for three minutes and then see what their beats per minute is (BPM). I used to know how to do this but I lent someone my ISSA book and they ganked it. How do you measure beats per minute? I think you take your pulse at your wrist or at your kneck but I forget. Anyone know? I could ask the new head trainer but I hate the bitch and I don't want to give her a one up on me and think she is the shit.

Yep 15 seconds or I prefer 30. My resting heart rate was 52 in the 250s, not sure about now.

Should be the wrist, for insurance purposes they stopped doing the neck because a couple 90 y/o people cut off their circulation and passed out doing the neck.

You actually do not just step up and down on the step, there is a certain # of steps /min that you are supposed to do. I got my degree in exc phys 2 yrs back, shows you how much I actaully remember. NOT MUCH
