I think working chest every 7 days is actually too much for me, because I found out that if I wait about 11 days, I am way stronger than I would have been on day 7. BUT, I think my calves need to be trained 3 times a week to be able to keep growing, because if I wait too long between my calf training, they quickly start getting weak again and dont progress.

Bodybuilding is complicated sometimes. I got a blackboard in my room now to keep track of when I need to train each different muscle.

I was training 5 days a week, but that is too much. Im now trying 3, maybe 4 days at the most now and see how that works out.......Like, I waited 2 extra days more to train legs last week, and I was about 30% stronger.

I felt this would be a good post, so I posted it for you guys. Its just something im figuring out, but im not done yet. Not even close.

keeping a journal and working with a knowledgeable coach has definitely helped me to avoid overtraining and wasting my time in the gym. I can only train legs 2 days a week, if I want to make gains and continually get stronger.

Oh yeah. My pecs are waaay stronger if I wait 11 days instead of only 7. It kinda sucks though because I love training so much. At least I can trian calves lots. I hope my biceps are like my calves. I still gotta figure that out.

i seriously have to force myself to stay away from the gym. Probably because im obsessive, but that sillyness has got to end if I want to progress.

Goldenmuscle, I tend to have the same problem, I love the gym but that also means that I have always tended to overtrain. I can't even drive by the place without wanting to go in and lift, It is really easy to get addicted to training. I have gotten the best results from working out less frequently, so it is worth forcing myself away from the gym.
