Strange: TRT lowers my testo!

I am 43 years old and basically in very good health. I just have suffered from low testosterone levels whole my adulthood, no reasons were found. Now I have been in TRT for two years. Nebido is injected every 10th week.

After one year TRT my total test was 20 nmol/l (range 10-38), SHBG at the very low end of the normal range end and estradiol at the very high end of the normal range: felt quite okay. Then total test started to drop. Now at two years my total test has dropped to 8 nmol/l (3 weeks from injection!! Lower than my pre-TRT values!), SHBG and estradiol have remained the same as a year ago: feel lousier than before TRT.

What the heck is happening to my total test?! Any suggestions what to do :scratchhe?

Thanks a lot!

The only explanation I can think of is that they've injected you with a bad batch of Nebido, or didn't inject the full amount.

What is your current TRT dosage? What has your DR said based on your feelings and your test result?

Full Nebido (1000 mg testosterone undecanoate) every 10th week. Probably the most common way of TRT here in Europe nowadays. I haven't visited my DR yet and unfortunately she is not as knowledgeable as you guys here.

Yeah, could be something like that.

I think that I lose test too quickly because of low SHBG and too much aromatization. But that doesn't explain the change from year one to year two (the drop from 20 to 8). Probably something went wrong with my last injection (or last two…the same nurse shot them both). According to instructions Nebido injection should take at least 2 min…it never takes…but maybe it isn't as simple as other injections…possibly she didn't inject it deep enough…but I don't know where the test could have gone…strange case!

Nebido is only a 15 day ester.......... its just testosterone undecanoate. Its been around a long time, its not new.

In short your not injecting frequent enough, especially at the beginning. It needs to load first.

According to number of studies testosterone undecanoate in that castor oil should work about 12 weeks and hundreds of thousands of men have used it successfully with that frequency. Worked also for me...until it didn't anymore. Maybe I would benefit of shorter acting esters because of my supposedly fast test metabolism.

Lets see those studies

Nebido is just a repeat of Sustanon. This has all been tried before.

Im not saying nebido will not work, but I am telling you why it is lowering your T. Because it has not loaded and had enough time to build steady state levels.

also keep in mind ester half-lives are just an estimation. It could vary greatly from person to person.

How do you mean that?

Well sustanon also has testosterone undecanoate in it. At one time Sustanon was suppose to be the latest and greatest thing for TRT because you could do a shot once every 30 days.

No one could keep blood levels stable though. So it faded away.

They are doing the same with nebido now, its just marketing. every 12 week injections are not going to work.

Bigben66 is on Nebido. He has a log on it that is a good read. If I remember right, he is doing injections ever 4 weeks. Going 12 weeks wasn't even close to working for him.
