Stunted growth?

I dont know about dbol in particular but steroids are known to close growth plates in the body. It is not 100% but there is a chance. How old are you?

Anything that raises estrogen will do it including the peaked testosterone levels that occur during puberty. Other items supposedly such as caffeine also do it.

IF YOU ARE A KID THEN BE A KID, dont touch steroids.

Prolonged exposure to estrogen will close your growth plates and anything that upsets your hormonal system isnt good for your body at that age but I have read medical journals which have "proved" that there has to be quite a significant increase in estrogen for a substantial amount of time before any "permanent" changes take place.

I hope we can get some feedback from the docs and vets on this one.

I have seen a study where arimidex was used along with GH to help along growth. Obviously though if puberty is enough, then IMO steroids which put a person usually much higher than anything natural is sure as hell enough to close the plates.

I knew a guy in high school who used, he ended up being barely above 5 foot although he looked like Arnold. I never asked him but I have to assume he was using for at least 5 or 6 years at that point (18 years old). He was also an amazing rhythm and soloist guitar player, he was highly dedicated at everything he did, but obviously his own use killed his growing.

Yeah I know a guy who used arimidex with GH to grow taller, he grew on average an inch every 3 months.

The GH makes him grow while the arimidex keeps the growth plates open, seems to make sense, a very expensive practise though, OUCH!

If that really works, I wonder if my plates have closed yet. I'm 20 and 6'8" and always wanted to be 7 ft. Makes playing ball a whole lot easier. Never took anything besides protein though.

Go to the doc and hell tell you if theyve closed, in fact go to a specialist and hell tell you how tall youll grow, all he has to do is measure the bones in your hand :D

thanks, i'm no youngin.. I'm done growing.. I just had a 'dissagreement' with a friend over this. I say they close the plates, he says they do not..

thanks for the feedback and be sure to keep this thread updated.

i'm not sure what you mean by a non-aromatizing steroid.. if its somethin like test enth, or cyn it wont close them.. I don't think.. anyone else know?

i mean something that cannot convert to estrogen. it seems likely that if the reason that the growth plates close is excessive estrogen that if you took a steroid that cannot convert to estrogen then the growth plates would not be effected. i could be wrong, but in theory it sounds right to me. anyone?

Possibly things like winstrol wont do it, but I know I sure woudn't be one to experiment if I were still hoping for growing taller.

test will close them no matter the ester.... the ones ive looked up that claim to not close growth plates are anavar and HGH because they dont aromatize. neither will give u major mass boosts, but.... its all in how badly you care about your height...

Testosterone aromitizes into estrogen through aromatase enzymes which lie in your bodyfat.

Anything less than 24 weeks with an anti-e and you should be fine according to what I read.

If you think about it the average man sees last saps of growth at age 20 but his bone structure isnt fused till age 25, so in other words it would take a long time of estrogen exposure to close the plates.

i was thinking tren probably being the best non-aromatizing steroid.

also, i read that most of the tallest people in the world don't produce much estrogen, if any at all. they say their growth plates don't close to about age 27 or later. i'm wondering if taking something like nolva or adex ed would help someone keep their growth plates open longer than normally. that's a pretty big committement to do that, but i'm just wondering. sounds like it'd work. ??????????

Which is why I posted on it, again though you would have to use such a thing wisely. Self administration of drugs by some 13 year old boy wouldn't be something I would want to encourage.

Yeah you could mess with yourself if you used anti-e's irresponsibly but im going to look into this and get myself a life time supply of Nolvadex if your right :D
