Sub-Q Test pinning question

I've been on TRT for over 4 months now; 80mg Cypionate 2x weekly. Does anyone have any tricks for me? Every time i pin (3 inches to the left or right of belly button) not only does it sting like a bitch, but I get a gnarly lump/welt. At first they were always hella smooth and I like it more than IM injections but it's getting annoying. Any help is appreciated.

i had the same issue.. got a welt every time.. took weeks to go away..

instead, go im.. pull with a 21g needle then switch to a 5/8 inch 27g and use that to pin im to reduce scar tissue development

is this all from your original source? did you switch sources?

Try looking straight down from your nipple and pin just inside there. It's more like six inches away from your belly button. Well, at least in my case. There seems to be more nerves the closer you get to your belly button. Also, don't pin more than 1/2 ml at a time.

I find sub-Q around the belly button to be a crap shoot. Sometimes painless, other times hurts like hell for a brief moment. Luck of the draw on hitting a nerve or not I guess.

This has actually helped; roommate gave me the same advice.

There sure are nerves in the location you mentioned. I am a former police man and got kicked in the nuts by a female crackhead one night. All the shots I received from the doctor for freezing the pain were in the very area you mentioned. Needles for freezing hurt like fuck, but that's where the nerves are, so SQ there is pushing your luck for sure. my 2cnts.

I'm not saying you will never get a "stinger" or a lump, but I have found that the odds seem to be better when pinned like I stated.

Sub Q pinning is the dumbest thing that anyone came up with ever. In the gluet with a 25GX1and you're good to go. You can go as small as 5/8 if your fat is below 12%. I hit quads and calves with a 25GX5/8.

I hit my "love handles" in the thickes part. About center of my body or a little to the back based on the angle of the pin. I've hit my stomach running all up and down where my "6 pack" would be. I squish as much fat as I can get and go in from the side slightly angled.

I found some nursing forum talking about sticking skinny old ladies. Said "pull the skin and shoot into the tent". Pretty much what I do. I take my time also. I just injected like a flu shot ONCE! I was left with a burning knot under my skin. I also let go once the needle is in.

Tried this today with an HCG shot and worked like a dream, completely painless.

Thanks for the tip, closer to the belly button is painful about half the time.
