sugar cravings at night

I've started taking natural peanutbutter and rolling it into 1" balls, then rolling those in chocolate protein powder. I keep them in the freezer, and when I have the midnight freakouts I chug a glass of water and eat 1 or 2 of those. If I'm doing keto tho I just drink water and grab a sugarfree jello

I have the same problem, apadronjr, which isn't a drama whilst packing on the weight, but does tend to slow down the cutting phase! I eat a consistent low-carb diet whilst cutting and only have carbs in the form of a shake (WMS) after training or sometimes add some maltodextrin during. I'd still get sugar cravings though. Two weeks ago I started using geranium oil extract, green tea and caffeine as my fat burner (well, my store-bought one). I haven't eaten any junk since and it's also reduced my hunger. I have absolutely no desire to eat sugar and I'm leaning out fast. It might be something to try.

I'm craving sugar at night I go hard, straight for the sugar bowl down to the last tablespoon, wash it down with some grape fanta. Now that's a midnight snack

switch to something sweet but high in protein. imo hunger pangs aren't unusual, you just gotta be smart about it. maybe eat some greek yogurt with some added sweet n low for sweetness. add fruit or a little bit of jam to make it tastier.

just be creative and stay away from the calorie filled sweets. the easiest thing is to just not have them in your home. it'll help get everyone else healthier too.

These are carb cravings, not "hunger pangs":Pat:

Sweet n Low or other artificial sweetners dont provide glucose, are usually worse for your body than real sugar, and will not help your carb cravings whatsoever :dumbass:

Testosterone is going to make you hungry for every macronutrient the body needs (fats, carbs, proteins, etc). Your running a cycle, u need to eat... a lot.
You're probably cutting carbs during the day to get lean. This will end up slowing your progress down. Your body is trying to synthesis tissues in response to the resistance training combined with the high testosterone levels. It cannot do this without insulin. But if your cutting whole carbohydrates (you need a lot, i mean A LOT. Try incorporating brown rice into 3 of your daily meals) during the day, your bodys gna tell you close to bed time that you simply cannot afford to go catabolic while you sleep. Its build and repair time, not tissue breakdown time. Your body simply cannot adapt to the work your subjecting it to without it being anabolic at all times (and by running a cycle, your body is getting the signal from all that testosterone that, among other things, you are working your muscles very hard and therefore need as much anabolism as possible in order to adequately and efficiently adapt).

Now on top of this dillemma, your taking HGH. This is really going to cause intense carb cravings even more at night time. The worst thing you can do here is ignore them or fail to satisfy them. Look up acromegaly, you really wna look like that? If youre taking actual HGH, stop. If your taking dopamine agonists or ldopa, keeping insulin at a level adequate to maintain anabolism will result in leutinizing hormone release instead if HGH release, which Im sure wouldnt necessarily be a bad thing for you. It may to some degree slow the hypogonadism associated with running a cycle. Keep in mind that dopamine competes with serotinin production, and low serotonin will make you feel irritable, non-social, and depressed and it will also cause psychologically induced simple carbohydrate cravings, especially at night. This can be offset to some degree by supplementing with 5htp.

Ive never done steroids, but Ive sold them to many people wanting to take shortcuts to looking the way I do naturally. You'll find, if you stick with the body building thing long enough, that steroids were dumbest thing youve ever done in youre life. Its laziness, plain n simple. You can get the results you want by doing the work. Your nuts are the best way to get all the testosterone your body needs, no more and no less. The more artificial test you subject your body to, the less your balls are going to function correctly and give your body the healthy balance that it needs. I mean listen to some of these guys on here... the sh*t just makes you straight up retarded, n no woman wants that no matter how masculine your body is, lol.. counter-intuitive if you ask me :laugh3:

Great post!

Just some points...

What people need to consume when they are taking steroids and HGH, etc, and especially bulking...will of course be different than at other times.

I have been a low carb eater for almost 10 years and it is almost out the window now as I am doing about 12 weeks of sustanon and hgh (only 2 iu a day, 5 days on, 2 days off).

If I tried to eat low carb now...it would be impossible. I'm eating almost as much as I can and still finding it hard to pinch skin at my abdominals for the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and hgh.

And I support the idea that most people don't need steroids and it is better for them not to use them. But for people like myself, who are already on trt...welll....we are already fucked, so to speak. I think, therefore, the odd cycle will help us more than hurt us...

werd son.

the only reason I turned to juice was to try an experiment
i was morbidly obese, from everything I read muscle burns more fat than cardio
(including a proper diet)
so I thought to myself what if i incorporate gear into my werkouts for one it boosted the shit out of me to get in the gym, now the first cycle i ever took made me blow up crazy, because I was fat already i looked a little funny i only ran it for 6 weeks, once i got off man if i dint burn fat like crazy afterwards
so i got back to my old regimen, once i hit a plat at losing weight i got back on gear, same thing happened again.
so ive been doing it as a weight loss thing and it has worked beautifully as well as packing on some major muscle on me.
this isnt something i will continue doing forever, ive been off the gear for about a month now and dropped another significant amount of bf this last go round, and im happy with my turnout. im starting to see the cuts in my muscles and most important of all my stomach fat is almost completely gone, i have no loose skin because ive done it the right way (with the exception of course) but i wouldn't change a thing on how I got here. now if i was skinny starting out i never would've turned to gear. but i dint start out skinny. n i know ur probably gonna have an opinion on this , unless uve been obese yourself, please don't. :squint:

If you were morbidly obese, I can definately see the appeal in running a few cycles. If you keep it at just a few cycles, I see little harm in it at all. It almost serves as a kick start to getting healthy and in shape. In fact, when I sell cycles to people, this is the only situation where I recommend using it; so as to serve merely as a kick start, but not as a required element of their fitness.

I didnt mean to generalize and be so black and white about steroid use. I was more referring to the way your typical "juicer" will abuse the drug to gain either quick and easy results, or long-term and hardcore results that are above and beyond whats physiologically normal (or even possible) for a man to achieve. Thats abuse in my opinion.

What it sounds like you're doing seems to actually be a good thing. Losing weight is hard, discouraging, and it takes a degree of preserverance to make it all the way through to achieving your goals. An initial spike in test for a few months out of the first year will certainly help with all of that, and I think the benefit gained from dropping the weight definately outweighs the negative sides youd see from running only a few cycles.

Good luck and good job making the choice to get yourself healthy. :beertoast
