Ok so gonna pin my virgin delts today and honestly I'm more nervous than my first ever injection in my quads last week. My quad injection I was pretty calm, but after experiencing 6-7 days of virgin muscle pip my nerves are on edge going to delts now for the first time. Any suggestions or tips as far as where to pin or techniques would be nice. Plan on using 25g 1" needle.

the pin size is good, same as I use, grab your elbow with the hand thats not holding the needle ( arm getting pinned) establish the area and pop it in, delts are easy but dont push more than 1 cc, and yes it will hurt after as it diffuses , but not crazy like a quad night on day 2 or 3, delts hurt for me same day then go away

My delts aren't huge, probably average size. Should I put the 1" needle all the way in or 3/4 in?
All the way in, they can handle it. Be sure to picture what bhrees mentioned as it will help to keep your hands steady and prevent you from pulling the pin in and out from your delt. Also, you WILL feel some "pressure" as you're filling the muscle up - it's completely normal and will subside shortly. :)

Is putting a heating pad and massaging directly after injecting alright to spread oil?

I'm still confused a bit on this one because a TON of people say they massage but then a TON say they don't as it's a bad thing to do and worsens pip. I massage the ish out of the spot. Maybe it's the reason I get pip sometimes. But I still do it, seems to make sense as you would think it would spread the oil or something.

Not sure on the heating pad but seems like a good idea.

Figured heating pad would keep the oil warm and would ease its flow, and heat would increase blood flow to spread oil, not sure if I shouldn't but seemed like a good idea unless someone can state why I shouldn't.

Turkey, I pinned my delt on thurs then headed to the gym right after that & did a few exercises to get the oil moving around. Next day it was just sore like shot sore. I used a 1in. But forgot to heat up the oil.

Try and get the elbow you're pinning with stable like in between something on the wall. I was pretty shaky cause I can barely reach but next time I will use the wall to stabilize so I won't be like Michael j Fox.

Also going to be pinning Delt, since I'll also be pinning quad. Figure one week quads, one week delts. I think delts will be easy since you'll have more control n such.

It's along the lines of disturbing a traumatized body part, making it worse as the massage attracts more blood flow, which in turn brings more inflammation/etc. from what I've been told. I think it's all about what works best for the individual, although I don't tend to recommend massage after an inject. Heating pads can work great, but only if used in moderation in my experience. :)

My .02c :p

I wanna try Delts as well, but the thought of it turns me off. I'm happy pinning my Quads, but I know it'll get old eventually. I've seen the videos and photos of Delt pins, but how hard is it to hit a nerve there exactly?

Do it! It's not that bad. It does look a lil creepy cause you're starring at a needle that's inches away from your eye that's sinked into your arm but after that you're good.

Also, put the elbow of the arm you're pinning against you stomach... The delt muscle will be relaxed in this position.
