Folks any idea what the half life of sustanon 250 would be. Doc wants to inject 1ml once a month ?
They came out with it decades ago (in the UK I believe) and the idea was that the different esters would smooth out the peaks and troughs. It was found to not work well. It is considered a very obsolete protocol and drug now. Nobody really recommends it for TRT these days.
Just tell your doc that you want to do self-injections at home and then you can inject it as often as you wish. Surely your doc will agree that more frequent injections are better than less frequent if the dosage is kept the same over a given time period.
How many mg is he going to inject once a month? I am envisioning that you are about to get a whole lot of What injected in you.
Regardless of dose, be prepared to feel like complete shit by the end of your first month. Your TT levels will like be much lower than they currently are in your hypogonadal state. And you very likely will have estradiol problems due to aromatization. Even if he gives you an AI, it will be very difficult to figure out how much to use in the beginning or the month and the end of the month.
What could try do you live in?
I'm in Ireland so you are correct in your assumption. I will only get the Testosterone i already spoke to him about hcG and this is not an option.. I can only assume that an AI will be out of the picture as well. I am nervous about how this is going to be given and worried about the crash.... i will be getting 1ml of 250 mg/ml a month..
And i spoke about more frequent injections and he is not receptive to it yet... this is why i wanted to get the data back and show him....
Hey buddy, I'm in the UK and I started my TRT on Sustanon like yourself - with no success whatsoever. They will be willing to drop you to 250mg every 3 weeks, but no less than that.
Luckily my blood levels were still dismal at this dosing protocol - so I suggested to him to try Nebido.
He agreed, and I've been on Nebido for 18 months and find it great - BUT it did take a while to dial in (approx 6/7 months)
If you respect your doctor, and want to play the game. Then take the Sustanon over the course of the month, your bloods won't lie - you'll need more Test - so suggest you lower it to 3 weeks, again, playing the game. I would imagine your bloods (and personal feelings) will still suggest you are below range. I was, a lot!
If you get to this stage, ask him if you can try Nebido (Test Undecanoate) - it's a very slow releasing ester that is becoming more and more popular here in the UK.
If you get this far, by all means PM me to find out how I got myself dialled in.
By the way, I urge you to research, research and research some more - becuase in no time at all - you'll know more than your doc does about this. - UK docs suck when it comes to TRT!
Also, AI's and HCG - don't even ask. That's a big fat NO - so if you need them, you'll have to find them elsewhere.
Good luck buddy, you're in good hands on here...
BigBen
Thanks for the info Ben will definitely PM you. It sucks that the docs are this far behind over here. ... I just hope the roller coaster is too bad while I'm trying to get this sorted. It makes me wonder of all the hassle is worth it.
I've been through it, and now I've come out the other end... I can assure you it is most definitely worth it.
I won't lie, you have a testing few months ahead, where you'll despair on the NHS and the doctor's lack of knowledge - but arm yourself with research, make persuasive suggestions whilst playing the game, and you'll get there.
Keep us informed!
PS: Don't assume that because the majority of the forum users on here are from the US - that they can't help you. Obviously their methods differ from ours, at times drastically. But the end goal is the same and their experience and help is awesome.
Megatron in particular helped me massively through my dark days and helped me make sense of it all. I don't forget sh*t like that.
Absolutely Ben
a wonderful group of people here. It's great comfort knowing that I have a support network.
Do you know what would be the best times to get my blood work done post my shot tomorrow to see where my peak and trough is? Should I get it done a week after then two weeks after that?
What do you think?
Hasn't your doctor told you when he wants them done?
Well ideally you need to get the lowest reading you can. So get your bloods done as late as possible, and even better, after a training session.
