Swim or elips?

Which would you say is better for fat-loss, swimming or elipsing.

Like whats a good amount of time swimming for maximum fat-loss.

The elipse tells me how many cals I burn (usually 350-400 for 30 min), but I have no idea when I swim. Although I have heard it's a better all-around exercise I'm looking for the better fat burner.

Thoughts?

Swimming will deff burn more cals. but ive heard itll keep you from getting a real low bodyfat. something to do with needing fat to float. Not sure if theres any truth in that. Id still say swimming tho.
