T3 for bulking

I would bet the aas had an effect on the thyroid. It lowers my own and a bunch of my friends. I would reco T3 to you because your thyroid is already broken. My wife has been on synthroid and she does a low dose of t3 to help her with her metabolism.

As far as how much t3 I take when bulking I go no higher than 50mcg and try to stick to 30-40.

When you are on steroids you don't really have to worry about losing muscle from t3 Off juice you get skinny fat! I hardly ever lose any real weight on t3. I mostly just tighten up on it when I am cutting.

This is a little of topic but I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I've been taking synthroid and its made a night and day difference. I use clen but want to try t3. I'm a little hesitant to try it cos im worried it might mess up with my thyroid. Then again it might not since im taking a synthetic version. I know aas use definitely does not affect my thyroid as i do blood work often to check, but what do you think about t3?

Honestly, being on T4 only is a bad thing. I have seen it over the years and this is on several thyroid boards, etc. In simple terms, here is the issue. You take T4. Your body has to convert T4 (Synthroid) in to the active thyroid hormone. This conversion doesn't happen in the blood, it happens in the tissue. 90% of the people I have seen on synthroid continually over the years have to up their dosages. Well, your body is constantly working to convert T4 over to T3 (the active hormone). Well, what happens when you don't convert all of your T4 over?? It creates what we call Reverse T3 (RT3 for short). Once RT3 starts building up in your body, it clings to your receptors and allows less T3 in to the receptors to do it's job. This is especially hard to convince most endos because when they test your TSH, they will always see it in range. When they test your Free T3, and Free T4, everything will look spot on. However, you need to test your Reverse T3 to see where you stand.

So in theory, why make your body work to constantly convert the T4 over to the active hormone T3?? Might as well just take T3. Or at least a combo of both of them like Armor Thyroid or Naturethroid. A lot of other factors block conversion. Cortisol metabolism affects it, estrogen, testosterone, DHEA, caffeine, etc. There are so many factors that can block that conversion. So my best advice to you is to test your Reverse T3. Keep in mind, the RT3 number isn't all you need to look at. You need to look at your Reverse T3 ratio which is an equation between your RT3 and your Free or Total T3. So let's say you have high levels of RT3, then the only way to get rid of your RT3 is to get off of T4 completely and run a strict RT3 protocol which you can google search. Once you get on T3 only, it will slowly clear your receptors. Takes around 6-8 weeks. T3 isn't all that bad, you just have to start small and ramp up slowly. You will feel it if you are on too much.

Wow, yeah that is much more than I am running (500mg per week Test C, 50mg Tbol per day), so I am considering running just 25mcg per day T3. MAYBE 40mcg per day, but at that dose I would be a little worried about it eating muscle.

I like your thoughts on what you are planning on doing. I do have to ask you though...And I mean this with all due respect!

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING RUNNING TBOL? :-)

I mean brother any of the bols are shit! Orals are not only shit but they will fucking kill you! No bullshit. End of venting about turinabol. Thank you for listening!

I just really hate orals because they are dirty, underdosed, dangerous, and lastly for pussies. Now you get to keep the man card my man because you are running test. I hate oral only cycles! :shoot7:

Great thread man. Mix in some NPP or Tren or masteron if you're lean or eq or deca to get swollen. The only oral I ever do is Winstrol (winny). This is because I am too big of pussy to pin the painful ass shit!

Dude, I have been on 100mg per week Test cyp for my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and have been on 50mcg for over a year now and haven't noticed any loss of muscle. Considering you are blasting 500mg per week, you will be fine. Trust me. You won't notice a thing. 25mcg is a good dose for what you are doing.

I think a low dose is good to keep lean when bulking and increase protein synthesis. It will increase your hunger too, which will allow you to eat more.

Hye, I have used T3 for about a year now, straight. I used it during a bulk too and my take on it is this>

If you REALLY want to put on mass like crazy dont take t3. T3 during a bulk for me is great when you want to put size but on the other hand you dont want to get fat. If you are going to compete and want crazy gains dont go fro t3 and dont care about the fat you gain, that's part of the game.

but if you are just bodybuilding for yourself, want to bulk up and enjoy some good food, take T3. at least during your bulk you will still be vascular and lean. I am doing this right now. I am on test-deca and t3 right now and I am growing gradually. in the past years I used to grow faster but I am in better shape now because I am taking t3 and doing my cardio EVERYDAY. there is no point in lifting and not looking like you lift while you are offseason, again, if you are not going to compete.

and dont forget, the less fat you gain to easier it is for you body to keep hold of the mass when you start cutting down.

I agree with snorkle's post. Although I understand the theory that you could actually gain more muscle by adding some T3 than without it (by increasing protein metabolism), I don't believe I've successfully done that. My guess is that I didn't consume enough food to keep up with the increase in my metabolism, and therefore didn't gain as much muscle.

However, I am certain that when I have used T3 or T4 or both, along with steroids, I have minimized fat gain.

So, I think the answer depends on your goals and your strategy on how you want to get there. IMO the most efficient way to achieve a muscular, lean physique is to alternate aggressive bulking cycles with cutting cycles. However, this can really wear on you. If you're satisfied with slightly slower progress toward your ultimate goal then I think it makes sense to supplement with T3 or T4 even during "bulking" times. I think about 40 mcg. of T3 or 200 mg. of T4 is about as high as I would go while attempting to gain muscle.

Riprockwell - thanks for your contributions to this thread!

I have been the same way. I don't think I hit enough calories to fully benefit from the T3. Over the last 2 years though, I have noticed I have been able to stay more lean and have less visceral fat than before. I agree with you, I wouldn't go higher than 40mcg of T3. I am on 50mcg but that is because I am a thyroid tissue resistant patient and I create a bunch of RT3. Glad I could help contribute!!
