Testicular Athropy (how to prevent)

Am I just unlucky with this? I've had such a difficult time finding a proper dose for years now, and all my bloodwork doesn't suggest anything is wrong (SHBG, DHT, etc).

I may have missed something, but have you increased your injection frequency? That'll most likely be the issue.

I'm thinking about attempting 100mg-150mg test per week again. This is starting to become a broken record routine with me but I still can't find anything that works.

My question is, if I were to do this should I start this week? I take my shots on Tuesdays. Last Tuesday I took 200mg test and on Thursday I took 500iu HCG. If my e2 is high because of the HCG would adding more test make me feel worse?

Why don't you try pinning twice a week, and your hCG twice a week at 250iu each at the same time. Do this for 4 weeks without changing anything, then get bloods to check TT and e2.

Then decide if you need an AI or not, or where you feel best with your e2. Or if you need more test. Its important to let it stabilize before drawing blood or you get biased results.

I like this suggestion a lot. Its a great starting point and the allowing things to stabilize cannot be emphasized enough. Otherwise you will be just chasing an ever changing situation.

I'm starting to wonder if my body is desensitized to HCG. I used to be on HCG mono which involved taking a very high dose of it (2500iu 3x per week). I did this for about a year and a half in 2006-2007 and then with test in 2012-2014.

Take a break from it. Maybe 3-4 weeks?

Good idea.

As for shots, I may try just 125mg per week to see if that does anything. I don't seem to respond to anything below 150mg though for whatever reason.

As suggested, go to twice weekly injections. Hopefully doing so will result in not needing to use an AI.

The twice a week shots don't work for me for whatever reason. When I do 2x per week of lets say 75mg or 100mg, I have no energy, no libido, and feel lazy. It's weird.

I just took 150mg test and my sex drive took a bit of a crash. What gives?

Are you allowing time to stabilize? And then checking bloodwork??

No offence but you sound incredibly impatient. You need to realise this is a long term thing getting you dialed in. You really need to try pinning twice a week, not changing any doses of test, AI or hCG etc. for four full weeks then get blood drawn. If TT is not high enough, increase dose and test again in 4 weeks. If e2 needs adjusting, change AI dose and test again, etc.

Jimi is spot on when he said you are just chasing an everchanging situation. Seems like thats what you've been doing for a while.

You said pinnin twice per week felt crap - maybe TT was too low? Maybe e2 too low? Or high?
You crashed after a 150mg pin. Maybe e2 shot up? Who knows??

Let it stabilize, and test. Make adjustments, retest. Thats all the advice I have to give.

^^^^^^ Great advice.

You have to remember that every time you push on one thing that it pulls on something else. Therefore you need to give it time to equalize. I took me a year to get my TRT protocol dialed in when I started. I always tried to only make one change at a time to be able to isolate to effects to that one variable.

Also agree. You move too fast. Get back to the basics. The most standard regimene in history has to be 50mg test every 3.5 days and HCG 250iu twice a week.

I would personally do this and let it ride for a month or two. You will never achieve a great libido if you chase it daily.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am definitely impatient and frustrated with this whole process, especially with how long this has seem to have been going on.

This is my BW from a few weeks ago when I was doing 250mg-350mg test every two weeks (no HCG or AI). The BW was from right near the end of the two weeks.

Test 631 (range 241-827 ng/dl)
E2 35 (range 0-56 pg/ml)

I don't have BW from closer to the shot but I'm guessing my E2 must have shot up from the big shot and then gone down towards the end. Sound logical?

Pretty much. So that's basically a trough reading, which means both TT and E2 will have been higher at the start of the shot. It would decline to about that over the two weeks before rising again after the next shot.
So more than likely you felt crap from having high e2.

Considering that's a trough reading, if you remain on that same dose (not varying between 250-350, pick one value and stick with it) split into bi-weekly injections you should stabilize somewhere a little higher than that which should be close to where you want. Do it for four weeks consistently with no changes, then test blood & post up again. Then we'll decide if you need more test, less test, more e2, less e2, etc.

Best of luck to you.

Anecdotal info shows that TT drops about 100 points every day after an injection. There are a lot of variables though. But if this is true for you, it means you peak is likely coming in a little over 2000ng/dl. This is considered supraphysiological. You E2 would likely be through the roof too with TT that high.
