Testosterone enanthate as a male birth control

Another interesting side effect of Testosterone enanthate is mentioned in the bodybuilding magazine Muscle Media 2000, June July 1993 on page 45. Judging whether this is positive or negative is left to the reader. 'A few years ago, the Lancet Medical Journal of England reported that they found testosterone (the proto-type anabolic steroid) to be a remarkably effective form of male birth control. Researchers conducted a 12 month study which included 270 men and determined that weekly injections of the hormone testosterone were 'safe, stable, and effective.' They discovered that weekly testosterone injections had a success rate of 99.2% as a birth control method. That makes it more effective than the birth control pill (97%) and much more effective than condoms (88%). The study also revealed that the effects of the contraceptive injections were entirely reversible upon discontinuing administration of the drug and that the testosterone injections produced minimal side effects."

A multicentre study (ten centres) in seven countries was done to assess the contraceptive efficacy of hormonally-induced azoospermia in 271 healthy fertile men. Each subject received 200 mg testosterone enanthate weekly by intramuscular injection. 157 men (cumulative rate at 6 months 65%) became azoospermic in three consecutive semen samples. These men entered a 12-month efficacy phase during which continuing testosterone injections were the only form of contraception. There was 1 pregnancy during 1486 months of the efficacy phase (0.8 conceptions [95% confidence interval 0.02-4.5] per 100 person-years). Discontinuations from the study were mainly because azoospermia was not achieved within 6 months and because of dislike of the injection schedule. The mean time to become azoospermic was 120 days (SD 40); reappearance of spermatozoa was detected in 11 men and in no case led to discontinuation from the study or to pregnancy. After the testosterone injections had been stopped, the estimated median time from azoospermia to recovery (sperm concentration of at least 20 million/ml) was 3.7 months (3.6-3.9) and to the subject's mean baseline sperm concentration was 6.7 months (6.2-8.7). Hormonal regimens that induce azoospermia can provide highly effective, sustained, and reversible male contraception with minimum side-effects

Maybe Deca but not test.

Usually test subjects are derelicts or some sort of street bums who are to do
any thing for a few bucks. Unless you read the studies. Their shit.

I've been on test for 15 years and I've never gotten anyone pregnant and never used a rubber. Amen!
15 years and you aren't even 200 pounds? Wow.

So are your balls the size of raisins, normal size, or something in between?

Have you ever gotten a fertility test done? Or have you just never worried about the consequences of getting a woman pregnant?

His sig says he was in the Vietnam war, so I'm assuming he's pretty old. Being 200lbs is not everybody's goal, especially at that age. And if I remember correctly, he had cancer in one of his kidneys, so that probably took a toll on his body as well

Why speculate? His signature says that he is 55 years old.

I totally understand if gaining mass isn't his goal. On the other hand, I don't understand that need for a 15 year cycle if it isn't.

I'm not judging him. I was simply surprised. Well, I don't like the idea of having unprotected sex with woman when you don't want a child, so I guess I'm passing a little bit of judgement there, but it is unintentional.

I thought I've read on here about guys knocking their ladies up with no problems while on test. Think that study is shit

I've been on test for hypopituitary (pituitary tumor) and getting bigger is not the point anymore. I'm still recovering from the surgery that I had in june this year. I was bigger but I'm not after that no more. Cancer took it's toll but I'm coming back. No offence taken. I've learn to take a joke or 2. I never wanted kids anyway. I'm proud to say that I never changed a babys diaper either. Each to their own.

Well, sort of. She wanted to have a kid at first because she had cysts on her ovaries and she might have to get a hysterectomy. It didn't end up being too serious, but I still was banging her raw dog with my fingers crossed.

Fool, you wanna pay child support?

Cysts are very common. She way overreacted. Now trying to get pregnant while not even married...that's some stupid shit.

just my opinion. Congrats on not knocking her up.

I make good money, so child support doesn't bother me. She's actually worth over 4 million herself. I could care less if she was broke. I don't want to get all mushy, but I love the girl and want to start a family with her. Maybe it's me getting older. I turn 27 next month.

I don't think so, you have to consider that if your on test and have a steady sex partner you're probably knocking it out a LOT, so that's plenty of opportunities for the .8% chance of conception to rear its head.
