TRT and Lecithin granules

Just got labs and i want to do something about my elevated cholesterol levels. Total cholesterol 198. LDL was 133 and i want to do something about that. My question is will soy lecithin granules cause my testosterone levels from testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to go down??

Country life Lecithin granules is what i'm taking.

I don't know how a fat can reduce your test levels as you're getting them from a vial. Biggest change to my cholesterol was by eating oats and taking 4g of fish oil daily. Stuff works wonders. :)

Lecithin shouldn't effect test levels. Lecithin is best used for you brain. Halfwit and megatron28 have good info. I would also throw in some Niacin and some Red yeast rice but make sure it has lovastatin in it.

Thanks for the info to all that replied. Red yeast rice and psyllium husk sound good and don't kill the wallet neither.

One more question......are all these supplements you guys mentioned....are the clearing plaque out of the arteries or are they just slowing down the rate of cholesterol your liver produces????

Psyllium husk won't clean out your arteries as far as I know.

GARLIC is amazing for reducing cholesterol. There's also phytosterols (the good stuff you get from veggies). I am over zealous when it comes to controlling my cholesterol so I take kyolic garlic supplements and a supplement called cholesstrin by new roots (look it up it's incredible).
Also fibre does help fight cholesterol buildup because it literally cleans your arteries and vessels.

How does fiber literally clean your arteries? I didn't know it could do that.

Be careful to not push your cholesterol down to far if you are not on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). It is a building block for testosterone.

Thanks for the warning. I eat so much meat and drink so much skim I didn't think it was possible. I'll have to monitor it more carefully.
I think because we cannot really digest or process the fibre it goes through our system and performs a cleaning function. I'll look it up and see how exactly.

Yeah it decreases your total and LDL cholesterol. Eating soluble fibre helps the absorption of cholesterol. Guess it technically doesn't scrub your arteries .... But I'm hoping it does. Lol

I dropped my total chloresterol from 208 to 150 in a month with the slow release Niacin sold at Costco. It's basically the same as the expensive prescription slow release niacin at like 1/4 the cost. Take one before bed every night

Would it be safe to say that the niacin is cleaning out your arteries??? Stopping your liver from producing cholesterol is one thing but cleaning out your arteries is another...I'd rather have the supplement that helps clean arteries out......

I don't believe it does that. It increased hdl and lowers triglycerides.
