TRT at 18

So Im about 2 months away from turning 19, but have just had some blood work done and it seems I might have low test :/ We're going to do another blood test in about 1.5 weeks and see what the results are, but the doc suggested I might need to do some kind of test "supplementation".

Ive competed once before in Natural Bodybuilding, and would be able to compete again as a teen in 2013, but now I feel that might not be an option for me. I have 3 questions... If I do start testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), does that mean Ill have to be pinning myself for the rest of my life? Will I notice some kind of gains even if I stick to the reccomended dosage? And how would this affect me if I were to start taking more steroids further down the line?

what are your levels at? also yes it would be for life.

well from this test, I was at 13.5nmol/L in the reproductive testosterone thingy and 23.6pmol/L for free testosterone

There is no supplementation with TRT. Replacement is the deal.

Yes

You will gain muscle at the rate of a healthy male

We don't discuss cycles in this section.

I'm on the same boat as you man going to turn 19 in January and had a total test level of 310 in the morning as well as a high TSH level. Good luck to you man

Please ask your doctor these questions. You are very young and it would pay to explore things that could cause low testosterone. TooRaw, it is possible you are hypothyroid causing low test. You guys get the impression like everyone here is going to say yeah shoot some test and you will feel better but there is a litany of things you must do like an Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) or clomid test to see if you are primary or secondary before you consider TRT. If your doc knows what he is doing this would be the first plan of action. I am very suspicious about the 1-10 post guys that come here claiming they just came out of their mom's vagina and saying they need TRT. Please see your doc and don't start by asking if we approve of you doing steroids on top of a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) regimen you may not even need. Real mature.

Oh yeah I fully understand and yeah that's exactly what my endo is doing, waiting for my thyroid to be regulated before making any decisions. I 100% agree with this But sometimes there's a need to vent during times of frustratration. But yeah I hope I didn't come off the wrong way I can understand the whole 9 post thing but to be honest the only reason I signed up at steroidology was because of the Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) forum. I haven't seen many around

Bro, Im sorry I didnt realise that wasnt discussed here. I just assumed because of the name of the site, my apologies. But yeah, Im obviously not going to do anything until the doctor gives me specific instructions about what to do. I was merely trying to get some opinions on cycling on top of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) if thats what I need to do. I thought this would be the place to ask, obviously not, sorry.
