Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) Dudes - What are your T levels?

1. 250-300
2. 100mg per week
3. 800-900, varies from test to test.

Well, to answer your question, there is not a univeral/optimal number for everybody. Meaning, I go by how I feel and not so much on the scale/range. Yes the range can go up to 1200 and maybe an 18-19 year old can have that level, but again everyone is different. I notice if I keep my T level from 800-900, I can manage other things easier like estrogen control, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. I think some guys think that having levels high is optimal yet they fall to realize there are some negative side effects from having it too high. Again everyone is different and you just have to see where your personal sweet spot is. SicVic is right though, if I would have had my levels in the 600's, I would have never got on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at all.

Thanks :hahano:

1) 500 ish, but felt like crap and was getting progressively fatter
2) 140 mg/wk split semi-weekly
3) 1200 ng/dL (top of lab range), tested three times in the last six months just before pinning

I feel like a million bucks now. I have lost 30 lbs of fat and gained 10 lbs of muscle. Plus, my total cholesterol is 120 (started at 216). I attribute the fat loss and cholesterol control to following the wheat belly diet.

Pitch,

Just caught on to this Thread.... few Questions?

How old are you?
What are your Stats?

1) What were your T levels prior to starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? -

335 were my levels and some doctors will still say that is normal... I didn't feel good at that level; so I went to my Endocrinology Doctor and got Re- tested. if your trying to get a script get your blood levels drawn in the later part of the day. you T-levels are lower than they are in the A.M

2) What is your current test C dosage per week? -

I have Script from Dr for TEST-C and TEST-E 200 mg (1cc/ML) I use to pin every Sunday in the AM but I HATE NEEDLES so I just recently change the dosage and let my doctor know about too... new dosage is 400mg (2cc/ML) every other week, along with daily 1/2 tablet of 25MG of Aromasin (Exemestane) got this added because my nipples were getting sensitive, the cool thing is that this E-Blocker elevates my T-Levels too

3) What are your T levels now while doing TRT?

For me this is the 2nd time I've had my levels check the 1st they came back at 996 and I will say I felt very good, this last time around, they came back at 800. still felt good but not as good at 996. I wish to keep my levels at 1000

I've been a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) since Nov. of last year and while it has help me in my energy level and training I am most pleased that it is helping my relationship for the better - thus the real reason why I consider doing this. the Training is just an extra plus.

Now I will say that I CAN'T stand the Pinning since I hate needles... take for instance right now my leg is sore and hurts - I pined in my upper thigh area with a 25gx1" my body part isn't quiet use to having it admitted there yet, but like I said I'm doing this for the real reason testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) was allowed for. there are some KATs that will abuse the system and in the future will make it harder for people to get a SCRIPT, due to insurance liability, etc...

In short Pitch there isn't a MAGIC # everyone Body reacts differently, it's up to you to recognize where you feel the best at, I caution you MORE isn't always Better... find the happy medium.

hope this helps, by the way I am 40 yrs young....

Sup Guys-

I just wanted to ask you guys a few questions regarding TRT... Please, feel free to post in here. I'm trying to find out what is the average optimal number while on TRT.

1) What were your T levels prior to starting TRT?

3) What are your T levels now while doing TRT?

Thanks guys!

383 before treatment - I suspect that my levels have been <400 for years. ugh. only 32 years old.

currently on 1 pump Axiron per day - 30mg. have been doing that for 7 days. not expecting great results from just one pump, think it will be far too low and at least be doubled. Will have to move to Androgel (blah) due to insurance after my free trial is over.

re-testing T at end of month.

I'm no where near being able to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but it is definitely something I will consider when my levels drop. I'm currently hovering around 600 natty.

Thank you for posting. Why aren't you taking the shot? If you don't mind me asking...

that's just what my guy wanted to start with. I suspect that shots are where things will end up. sounds like twice a week shots at home are most practical.

exspect levels to drop as one pump will shut your natural production down and you will be running on the 30 mg of test probable test about the same, 300 to 400

i did various gels for 8 years, they consider them the new gold standard in mimicking the natural production saw tooth graph

You get a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) shot every 10 days? Doesn't that cause a massive dip in levels?
Why not 2x a week divided up?

Thanks for posting your info!

No dipping issues. My doc started me on 200mg @14 days. Not good. Major crash. So we shortened the time frame to 10 days. And it seems to be working well. I am not self injecting at this point and prefer not to have to go to the doc office more often if this interval is working, which it is.
And again, after 10 days, my total level was 788 and free was 155, which I consider to be pretty decent, and without the need for Aromatase inhibitor (AI) etc.
Good luck.

I keep my level at 1000-110. Levels before the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) was 390. Dr. wants me to be at 800 though. So i will only pin once that week of the blood test. regular weeks I pin 2 times a week 150 each time. 300 per week total. I am 44 and lost 70lbs in 5 months. I feel great, focused, great gains at the gym. I was on Testim before the Cyp. Testim did not do what the Cyp is doing...Good Luck!! Get a at home Test Kit....takes 7 days for results....

tired,

Were you given the option for the shot? If I get to this point, I would def prefer the shot. The creams/gels sound quite weak and I have thin sensitive skin that damages and breaks out in rashes etc easily. Plus I guess I don't like the thought of having to tell some hot lil thang that they can't get too close to certain areas of my body or they might wake up with a beard and a weiner-sized clit lol. I hope that that you get moved to shots soon man if that's what you need.

how do you feel on days 8 - 10? is there a major diff from day 1 - 3?

my guy swears the research shows gels are a better way to maintain a consistent level of T - to avoid highs / lows that come with shots. i'm giving it a try. if you have irritated skin, I think gels would be a bad idea - I don't, and it still burns for a bit. I could see it being very irritating.

The gels will only maintain stable levels if they are absorbed properly, which is not very often.

I would like to see his research, cause I can show you research where it took 18 months for the gels to get men to 600ng/dl, which is ridiculous.

More people have problems with gels than anything else, don't get me wrong if it works for you great, chances are it won't.

Its like saying research shows condoms stop pregnancies 99% of the time, that is only in a perfect world, most people do not put them on correctly and the real number is about 65%.

It sounds like your guy has done more reading than practical application.
