TRT for my father?

Im curious of what people think about. I havent done any research on this yet, just got the idea and decided to post it. My father is 68, works full time, life long drinker and smoker with suprisingly no liver issues, his kidneys arent great, takes bp meds. Other than that he is in great health. It his age however I have noticed him getting more rundown from working 60+ hours a week and noticed weightloss recently. He doesnt make a lot of money so I know he would never go see a doctor about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but im just curious on peoples thoughts and what the effects would be if he self administered ( as in me convincing him to allow me to give him weekly injects) testosterone at like 150-250 mgs a week?

im pretty sure at that age he probablly has low test levels but i wouldnt start him at over 100MG a week imo of test eth or cyo.

this is a question i have been pondering as well.
My father is a lifelong smoker with knee and rotator cuff problems. He is a manual laborer and the physical stress of the job is catching up with him quick. He is 50+ years old and has pre-hypertension. No significant drinking history to speak of.

I worry that recommending testosterone supplementation to him might run him the risk of developing hypertension and possible formation of emboli. I believe he can quit smoking if he starts this therapy but I don't know if too much damage has already been done to his vascular system already...

I should also mention he had a neck injury about 3 yrs ago, car crash, not perminent damage other than arthritis in his neck causing pain. What would be positive and neg. Of something like test or even HGH?

getting his Testosterone up will increase muscle mass and lower lipids. The only issue I would be worried would be making sure estrogen is controlled so BP improves.

Yeah, my dad wouldnt go to the dr. unless he had too. But what exactly are side effect of low dose test at an older age?

trt dose should put your test levels back to their natural state so the sides would be the same as if you were making the test yourself.

same with my dad, doesnt smoke though
hes 58 but looks and acts older
he sells cars so lots of hours

problem with my dad is he had a couple of strokes within the last 5 yrs
is on plavix to help thin his blood
im afraid that some test will thicken his blood and give him another stroke

i need to ask his doc what he thinks

ive also considering giving him 25mgs a day or aromasin to help reduce his estro
