I've been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about a year now..

mid 30's, weightlifter, 6'3" 250

I went in with a 105 test level

I was put on 200mg test c every 3 weeks

at first my libido got very high..and over the year it gradually getting lower and lower til now it is nonexistent..


I just tested at the 14 day after injection mark and my test was only 230..

So he upped my injection to every 2 weeks
I got my shot yesterday of 200mg...and now 24 hours later I think my penis may have finally died...

I can barely get an erection and maintain..very weak and pathetic..

anybody have any insight what could be going wrong??

not sure, maybe doing injections weekly at 100mg/wk would help stabilize your levels. have you spoken with your doc about this? thats what i would do...

ya, hopefully I'll convince him that 100mg a week is the right way to go...around here, not many docs are really prescribing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or exploring the options...so these docs really don't have the info, nor are they looking for it..

But I'm getting my estrogen blood levels tested to see if they are too high, or the other possiblity is that it's mental at this point..

either way it sucks a big fat one

This sounds like a few classic things that for some reason doctors refuse to deal with and wonder why testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doesn't work very well.

First off, why is your test so low? Have you been tested for pituitary tumor? What is the range of normal on the test you are taking?

every test has a different "acceptable" value range.

Your test should be in the top 1/3 of that value range as a rule of thumb.

At the very least your shots should be every week. You should also be doing them yourself.

The next thing is the E2, its probably high. even if your doctor doesn't give you an anti e, liquidex is unbelievably cheap from multiple underground sources. I have to take a whopping 1mg a day, and I still have a bottle left with 30 day supply

You are probably going to have to get some extra help via viagra, cialis, or levitra.

I am liking underground cialis, it supposed to lower blood pressure, its cheap, and it works all day everyday.

Agreed with that high of a dose at once and no Aromatase inhibitor (AI) you are probably having and estrogen spike. Talk to him about self injecting. For me taking smaller amounts more often has done wonders for me. High and low levels of E2 = feeling like shit and a limp dick. I only take 35mg test cyp 3x/wk this will give a more steady blood level. I still have to take 1mg of arimidex/wk divided doses. I like my E2 levels between 20-30pg/ml. If you have high levels and add an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) start with a low dose and retest 30 days later and adjust if needed. You don't want to knock it down to low or you will have the same issues.

i feel for you man. i really do. get yourself some good prop. try that at say 75 eod and through in some viagra or cialis. that should hook you right up.

@trt giant..I don't know for sure BUT I think my test is low from dabbling with AS in the past..and I tried a prohormone awhile back and my natural test never seemed to recover..that's when i went in and had the 105 test
and I haven't been tested for a pituitary tumor? whatever that is, it's sounds scary..
Also unfamiliar with "test ranges" where do I find that information?


I went in and had blood taken today for Estrogen levels and the doc gave me some samples of Cialis/Viagra
I wondering if my insurance will cover Cialis? should be interesting

I think your dose is to low. I am 5'9" and weight 170. I get 300mg every 2 weeks.

A test count of 230 is way to low! You want to be above 500 min and I think that's low too. My test was in the 500 and I am on trt. Now I'm in the 800 on a consistent basis.
