Testosterone Therapy Saved My Life

This is the story of many medical errors by doctors, who foolishly told me I had normal testosterone even though they signed documents officially informing me that I had the following health problems:

These are the first 4 symptoms at age 15. The symptoms will get horrific at 23 years of age:
-Gynecomastia;
-Low musculature on my back;
-Very poor physical form;
-Extreme fatigue (I slept 13 hours a day from 12 years of age to 23.6 years of age).

At this moment, I'm 6 feet 6 inches and 272 pounds, I have Viking/Norman ancestry. The doctors thought I had kleinfelter's syndrome. Klinefelter's syndrome is a condition in which human males have an extra X chromosome. The condition exists in roughly 1 out of every 500-650 males. Individuals will often have a low serum testosterone level. The problem was that since I did not have that genetic defect, the doctors just told me to go home and that I was healthy. Very tall men who have low testosterone usually have kleinfelter's syndrome, I did not, so the doctor dismissed my health problems. Very frustrating.

2003 (15 years old)
LOW Total testosterone 4.0nmol/L (range 9.7 - 29.6) OR (US units: 115ng/dl range 300 to 900)
NEGATIVE kleinfelter's syndrome test

2011 (23.5 years old)
LOW Total testosterone 6.5nmol/L (range 9.7 - 29.6) OR (US units: 187ng/dl range 300 to 900)
NEGATIVE kleinfelter's syndrome test

2011 (23.6 years old)
LOW Total testosterone 9.3nmol/L (range 9.7 - 29.6) OR (US units: 268ng/dl range 300 to 900)
LOW Free testosterone 217pmol/L (range 273 - 679)
LOW Bio-available testosterone 5.1nmol/L (range 6.4 - 15.9)

At 23 years of age I noticed that my penis turned white and that Vitiligo was forming on and around my penis. Vitiligo is a condition that causes depigmentation of sections of skin. At the same time, my pubic hair turned grey. Then, my pubic hair fell out. I was sleeping 16 hours a day. My stress level was at around 40/10, similar to people who lived extreme stress from going to war and/or seeing all their friends and family die. I became diabetic even though tests showed I was not diabetic. Eventually I wasn't even able to think, walk, run. I gained 100 pounds of weight. Here are some of the symptoms I noted:

-No facial hair growth;
-Extremely irritable;
-Extreme stress;
-Excessive and frequent yawning (5 to 30 per hour, all day long);
-Extreme loss of confidence;
-Loss of memory, inability to concentrate;
-Loss of all muscle mass and no energy;
-Libido around 0% and 5% of a normal male;
-No morning erections;
-Weight gain;
-Gynecomastia;
-No physical endurance;
-Hot flashes;
-Vitiligo;
-Loss of pubic hair;
-Diabetes;
-Near fainting;
-Crying like a baby;
-Inability to tolerate heat;
-Feeling sick all the time;
-No motivation, extreme depression;
-I felt like I was dying (I was!).

I quit my highly paying job in the nuclear industry and went home to do nothing. One day, my stress was around 200/10, I was thinking of killing myself to get away from the extreme ridiculous unimaginable suffering caused by having testosterone hit the near ZERO mark. For some reason I just got in my car and drove to the emergency room. I explained my problem to all the nurses and actually gave them a list of my symptoms. This doctor said I had nothing (third foolish doctor). I insisted and told him I was on the verge of death: "Check my testosterone, see if I'm diabetic, check my thyroid, I'm 100% sure my body stopped producing testosterone, you're telling me I'm healthy when I can't even bend over and pick-up a piece of paper without fainting, I can't even have an erection and I've lost all my muscle, I'm half blind half of the time!". This doctor was another fool on my long decade journey to recovery.

I went to see an endocrinologist. He told me that he couldn't see me because I had to wait in line or have cancer/diabetes to see him. So I had to wait for 8 months (Canadian socialist healthcare). I was probably 1 month away from suicide and 5 months away from death. A few weeks more of suffering passed. My mom actually went into that doctor's office and asked him where I could see an endocrinologist even if I had to take the plane. It turns out that 50km from my house there was a world expert testosterone specialist that was in semi-retirement. Great! I saw him. He told me that I was extremely sick and that it was a miracle that I had been able to work from the age of 18 to 23. He told me that my thyroid had failed. Because of this, every organ in my body was failing and it was a vicious circle of degeneration. Good thing it wasn't radiation from working in the nuclear industry.

He put me on Delatestryl (testosterone-enanthate) injections. We tried:
-200mg/14days. That didn't work;
-140mg/7days. Better;
-120mg/5days. Better;
-Then there was a world shortage of delatestryl so I changed to the equivalent in Depo-testosterone (testosterone-cypionate). 1 ml of Delatestryl = 2 ml Depo-testosterone. You just have to take exactly double.
-So I am now at 120mg/5days of Depo-testosterone.

Testosterone therapy is a miracle in my life. It's the best thing that ever happened to me! My healing is far from done, but I'm on my way there!

Here is a link to my youtube video if you want to see what steroids I'm on. It's a simple slideshow with a video at the end.

I love hearing/reading these! How long did it take for the t to kick in for you? I'm 6'8 myself.

My first ever injection was on December 22nd 2011. It is a little bit early to tell, but:

12 hours after my first ever injection I could feel that the Delatestryl injection (testosterone enanthate) was already working (I felt like puking, I felt seriously poisoned, this has never happened again).

I'd say it took 3 week before I started to see very minor gains, yet very substantial since my health was so ridiculously damaged. Hey, at least I can walk around now! I was sicker than someone with a gunshot wound.

My doctor thinks that before I see any really clear changes I should wait 90 days. And after 365 days, I should look like a Phoenician lord. I can't wait!

It's hard to say because injections to the gluteal muscle (butt) sometimes do not work for me. I've just discovered that injections to the thigh seem to work much better for me.

Ya I do the thighs as well and the flank area. Good stuff man! I'm actually feeling a bit weird after my 4th pin, 16 day on t 210mg of c every 5 days. Not solid erected but It's getting there.

I forgot to mention in my first post that I'm now permanently physically scared from prolonged low testosterone. My low testosterone had completely halted my skin regeneration. So now I have at least twenty seven 1.5 to 2 inch scares (3.8cm to 5.1cm) on my body (I do not have vitamin or trace element deficiency such as zinc deficiency).

On the positive side, I've already noticed that some women are intensely sexually attracted towards me because of my new renewed confidence and the very powerful pheromone scent emanating off of my body. I now have artificially high levels of the androsterone pheromone emanating from my skin, it smells from meters away.

hell ya . If I take 210mg of cyp E5D my total levels will go up over 2500 easy.
I recently had to back down to 150mg E5D to get at around 1500.

I know some guys need more. I keep dropping mine every blood test. Will prob end up at 100-120mg e5d to be within range

Why do you choose not to have testosterone levels at around 2500ng/dl?

Why would you want to have a testosterone within normal range? I'd personally prefer having mine over the normal range. Just so I can seduce more women and have more sex. I know males 20 000 years ago had testosterone levels at around 2500ng/dl, and 100 000 years ago it was around 3000ng/dl.

Are you supervised by a doctor?

If I could tell my doctor to let me choose my own ideal levels, I would aim for 2000ng/dl and stay there my whole life. It gets annoying to constantly beg for a higher dose. His goal is to get men at 500ng/dl, I hate that.

Just personal choice and long term health concerns. Dont get me wrong I want to be HIGH upper range on the last day (5th day) after pin.

What an awesome read Yoda, thanks for sharing your story with us.

As far as the levels, most seem to feel best at 1200-1700 from what I read on this board, I don't really know yet.

I also know that some people can get to those levels with 100mg/week test C, others need as much as 400mg/week. That's week, not e4d, e5d, or e2w.

I am doing 125mg per week and I peak at around 1100-1200. It can be harder on your body running you total T at 2000 and above. My blood pressure starts to go up when I do. However, everyone is different and you must find your sweet spot. The higher my test, the higher my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and thyroid hormone as well. Therefore balance is key to me.

Interesting. We have a similar height (you 6'8", me 6'6"). We have a similar dose (you 125mg E7D, me 120mg E5D).

What is AI? I checked Aromatase inhibitor (AI) Medicine and biology:

Accommodative insufficiency, an inability to focus on an object
Active ingredient, the substance in a drug that is pharmaceutically active
Amelogenesis imperfecta, a genetic disorder affecting tooth development
Aortic insufficiency, a symptom of a heart disorder
Aromatase inhibitor, one of a class of drugs used to treat cancer, in particular breast cancer
Articulation index, a method of measuring hearing loss
Artificial insemination, the insertion of sperm into the female reproductive tract using artificial means
Avian influenza, a class of bird viruses
Anti-Inflammatory

I know everyone is different, but I've been thinking 210mg may be too high for me. I need to get my bloodwork done ASAP.

Just 150mg put me out of range high over 1500 on day 5... Lol everyone's different. Blood work every 3 months is 100% worth it.

Well I started on the 6th, when do you think is a good time for blood work?

Not trying to hijack Yoda's thread.. I would definitely like to feel like my old self x10.
