Arnold would had been a complete monster with today's drugs. Zane didn't have the frame to carry a whole lot of muscle. If your arguing big man and small man I would say Flex or Ronnie big and Shawn Ray 100% small.
Here's a change of pace - Mike OHearn
I've always looked at him as having one of the greatest aesthetic physiques out there.
Truely the epitome of good genetics.

I agree that arnold was the most important bodybuilder ever. But I'm talking about the best physique ever if you stood them next to each other. Obviously Arnold in his day was great, the best, but if he stood next to Flex it's not a no brainer. My favorite bodybuilder of all time is Lee Labrada but he is obviously not the best ever. Who do you think, one on one, in the best condition they were ever in was number one?
Who in the he'll is mike o'hearn??? Don't tell me he's one of these men's physique guys.
If Flex walked on stage in Arnolds day they probably would have locked him up somewhere to study medically, lol. I don't agree with you, flex didn't have a big waist at all. He looked like a comic book superhero more than anyone. Super wide shoulders, tiny waist, super full muscle bellies. Yes, I think he looked better a little smaller but he carried all that size pretty damn well.Bodybuilders evolved like every other sport. A football star of 50 years ago would probably get killed in todays nfl. Personally I think it has more to do with performance enhancers in every sport. Crist, even the top tennis players use them as there is ample evidence that Nadal is juiced to the gills. It's just much more noticeable on bodybuilders obviously. But, I do not think any other sport touches the dosages and amount of drugs that bb use."Best" physique is a subjective thing. The way it's judged has changed so gradually that the freaks you see today are actually considered to have "good" physiques. If flex had walked on stage in Arnold's day, he'd have gotten last place for looking like a messy, gross lump. And for making half the audience puke and the other half run away. It's bad enough that size is such a heavily weighted factor, but vascularity? Come on! Since when does having your veins popping out ever equal a good physique? Modern bodybuilders also look too thick at the waist. It doesn't look at all natural or even functional. Especially when they have to waddle like ducks to get from place to place. And all the fake tan and baby oil is going toooooo far.
I was just sick in my mouth a little bit thinking about modern pro bodybuilders
