Thick and Wide Lats

I'm having some trouble developing my lat spread, I was wondering what are some good excerises? How many sets x reps would be appreciated too.

wide grip chins -- 4 x 10-- if you cant get 10 then get what you can each set till you can get 10--
bent over barbell rows-- 3 x10-- i like reverse grip
