this is harder than I thought

Im glad to hear that you are starting to enjoy the diet. Have fun on your high carb day,

What about Flax seed? 1 T ground flax has 2.0 grams of carbohydrate, 1.9 of which is fiber.

Mustard greens, chicory and endive are almost all fiber too. Youll have to look up the macros
Congrats on being sober too!

steroids don't make you lose weight.

you have to plan out your day and meals accordingly. if you have 6 meals and you are awake 16 hours...you have to eat every 2 1/2 hours. its really that easy

god bless you, I will pay you to plan it for me. Im looking again, and I cant believe I got to find away again to hit 30 grams of protien somehow tonight!! The problem is right now here are the stats:

111 protien/57 carbs/22 fat/ fiber 12 and thats after dinner. Its hard to hit 170 grams of protien with only 100 grams of carbs and 40 fat!! This is kinda like a puzzle. So now I know Saturday for this day to throw a scoop of extra whey protien in the damn shake to pump up the protien. Its like IM a scientist not a weightlift anymore!! I know I will get the hang of it, hey at least im only alittle under and not some slob over the numbers everyday.

I have totally new respect for all of you who have to do this. This is really rough.

anybody want a few extra bucks!! I will pay for you to just write out what damn food to eat to hit these numbers. I got a headache from all this. Plus Im so damn full.

I like all foods. Let me know. Why could I just have found someone to say eat this at 1 pm, this at 3 pm, no I had to do it the hard way.

Thanks for all the advise everyone, I do appreciate it. I am kinda making jokes but the offer stands.

Veggies are fiber. Eat eat eat.

As for HIIT....do what you can. You are "supposed" to have a certain heart rate but you know your body better than anybody. Don't worry if you can't get your heart rate high.....get it to what is high for you personally...just as long as you do it.

Are you limiting your protein sources? Don't forget beef, cottage cheese, beans, etc. There are more protein sources than your regular chicken, eggs, protein shakes.

good suggestions especially the cottage cheese. Thanks both MM, and BB for the hiit ideas too.

WELL I AM ON THE THIRD DAY!!! Its unbelievable. I am losing so much water from the carb reduction and that is a strange thing. I never thought my old diet was so carb bloated and heavy but it obviously was. I am feeling a bit weak but thats due to the changes. I am now on day 3 and its a higher carb day so I think this is a boost I need plus today is the killer weight lifting day and cardio so Im happy to eat more carbs!

I have lost 3 lbs in three days. That may be another reason why Im weak. However I see that this is the way to go. I know in 3 months Im going to explode physically in the looks department. I am so glad I finally found the missing link and gave into it.

I can see you women were right, its alot of a lifestyle diet.

Im exhausted from all this FOOD!! Its strange, when I was eating my crapola diet I was never this stuffed. I am eating more and just plain stuffed. This makes no sense to me but its working. I never would have believed that I could be so full and stuffed. I am eating it seems like a slob but I am losing bodyfat. This is the strangest concept. I cant believe I have to eat more tonight. This just goes to show you how terrible organic cookies really are for your body!!

Do you remember when you first started a diet like this? Was your mind blown away?? Is this common?? I am so full.

BTW, I still picked up the 60 lb dumbbells benched them , actually I could have hit more weight but did not. So strength is good unlike I would have thought.

Well Im toast for the rest of today.

Is this normal to be so full? I guess I was protein deprived, I cant believe it. I never would have thought this was the missing link. I was always looking for that magic pill. I should have not been so damn stubborn and just gave in long ago. I am actually worrying for the first time in my life how am I going to eat all this!!!

I have never or never was "full" on that type of diet. I wish I had been though. You are lucky. I don't know if it is normal to be full or not. I just know I'm not.

I always feel better and more satisfied on a high protein low carb diet. The protein I think takes longer to digest than carbs maybe? I duno. But Im glad your full, if your full youll be less likely to cheat!

Its like IM a scientist not a weightlift anymore!!

This IS a science... that's why they have exercise SCIENCE bachelor's degrees, that's why they require Chemistry (also a SCIENCE) for any nutritional education. That's how people have come to know about the human body and its reactions over the years. Try to think of it like you are gaining knowledge to control your body however you want to. This is also an ART. That is when you can do this with discipline and ease, and make it seem like second nature.

I know and actually you want the most interesting thing, Im feeling really great, lifts are all better, and within 5 days quiet a few people have come up to me , even ones that I would not expect and said looking good. My hair and skin are better too. Im sticking with the science. Thanks so much for the post.

The only problem I am having is hitting that 170g in protien. I usually hit 150- 155. Is that really that bad if I dont hit 170? Im close.

Thanks to all who posted, it really means alot to me to here good and negative feedback.

Im still on this , and doing it I guess for life.

I definitely understand the difficulty of eating a lot of food. And it takes time for your body to adjust to the diet. First of all, if you aren't use to consuming that much protein, your body may not be absorbing it at and optimal level. Your body needs to build up digestive enzymes to help metabolize it, and I've heard it takes about 1-2 weeks (?: i don't know how reliable that is) for that to happen. Also, the more you try to eat, the more your metabolic rate is increased and eventually your body will get use to the amounts of food and consider that "normal."
This is just my opinion, but I would follow your diet as instructed, but take in a little less protein (about 75-80% if you can) at each meal, Then every a few days or a week, increase the amounts of protein slowly, until you are eating the full amounts given. For example, if your diet calls for 6 oz chicken + 0.5 cup of brown rice + 1 cup broccoli, try starting at 4 oz chicken +0.5 cup brown rice + 1 cup broccoli. Then after a few days try 5 oz, then in another few days try 6 oz. Or, instead of 1.5 scoops of protein powder, try 0.75, then 1 scoop, then 1.5 scoops. It is difficult, but give your body time. It'll catch up.

not to just jump in on this convo. but when you guys are talking about raw milk are you talking about unpasturized milk???? or am i way off? haha

Yes unpasturized milk that has all the good fat in it. 5-10 pound isn't worth these extremes. Go do a spinning class 5 days a week for an hour. God high protein low carbs and good fats with un-processed food. free range eggs and organic beef that isn't factory farmed. The lack of EFA's is why you have the fat to begin with. You need 4 grams of CLA a day. It works better when it comes from natural sources. Prefermented foods will help to. Increase you water intake and dietary fiber and make sure your on a good vita pack. drink 1oz of apple cider vinegar with every meal.

5-10 pounds is pretty easy with just exercise. And leave the sause and dressings alone. No juice or soda. Crystal light is your friend. The south beach Diet is very sustainable and it does work.

what i wanna know is how has this diet been going for you

also, im wondering why no one has asked for stats... its not in the first post.. though i havn't read EVERYTHIGN

age
weight
height
bf

im gussing your goals are to cut...

eating 4 times a day? thats a no no.. dtone was dead on... eat at least every 3 hrs...

i say we revamp your whole diet.. start fresh... get it going the right way

I am Trying, my life now is eating and counting and blending HELP!! Joke.

Well here is the good news, I feel great! I have never felt better. I am getting actually stronger, and mentally just feel damn good. Tommorrow is one week and I did not cheat once. If anything I am so motivated, its like a whole new world to me this diet/lifestyle food part. So I really excited and just sharp as a tack. Its honestly better than drugs and I mean that. I just feel so strong and mentally alert. I must have been so protien deprived I just feel great.

Ok as far as eating every 3 hours Im trying. This is hard due to me running around all day. I am hitting the ratios/macros now because I have learned what works.

My stats are 43 years old female
5 ' 5 inches
started at 147 I weight this morning 144. One week on new diet down 3 lbs.
20 to 21.5 percent bodyfat, and going down!! It depends on how its done.

I got this now and I AM NOT STOPPING. Actually the magic pill mentality is gone. You people were so right, diet and cardio. You see when you say diet , this to me is not a diet IM stuffed!! This is just great! I also am really working out like a manaic. Its like a new surge. I wish I listened to this so long ago but STUBBORN me!! I never kinda new the marco part of all this until last week. Ohh yeah I ate clean , but not like this. This is like high power protein diet and that is the part I guess I never realized. I just feel so good. I am thrilled. I honestly dont think I need drugs any drugs t3, clen, Winstrol (winny) none of it. This is so much better. And I was the LAST person who would of believed it. Its like the second coming!

You know I did this whole weightlifting journey ass backwards. I did heavy weights, cardio and drugs when I say drugs I mean clen/t3/ephedra on and off years but not the diet. I see now that is so ass backwards. I am so primed now due to having all the muscle and strength so everyday Im following this my body looks so much better and its only a week and I see such a difference. Just mentally and skin and texture to the skin wise. Crazy but Im seeing changes faster than drugs. I think this is gonna be the key that I have been really missing. Im DONE looking for that magic pill, I am going to do this diet, follow this Layne Norton dudes advise and see where I get this way (naturally) I never gave my body that diet part of the link or gave my body a chance.
Thanks so much for asking!! As OZZY would say I LOVE YOU ALL!!
