Those w/ Secondary Hypogonadism: Ever found the basis of your diagnosis?

Lol.. Good question.. I've read it on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) boards.. So it could be common amonst us or in general? Don't really know.. I will try a google search on it

Hey guys, I'm going to kind of piggy back off this thread. I am a 23 yr. old male with pretty much all of the symptoms of low testosterone. I am beginning to wonder if I have hypogonadism. I recently had my testosterone checked, my free testosterone was 13 ng/dl (range is 9-26) and my total testosterone was 400, (range is 300-1100). Estradiol was low. Now I realize that these numbers are in the normal range but they are relatively low for someone my age, and on top of that I have the following symptoms: difficulty maintaining erections, sensitivity to cold, hard time putting on muscle no matter how much I work out, brain fog, depression, low confidence, low sex drive, fatigue/feeling and looking tired, apathy, premature ejaculation, little facial and body hair...just to name a few. I have had this problem since puberty and it's really messed me up...haha

Now I have been to see several endocrinologists and urologists about my issues and they believe that everything is normal. I really want to try out Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and hormone replacement just to see if it makes a difference. What do you guys think? Could I possibly have hypogonadism?

I would not suggest you dive in to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) based on this. I was diagnosed with low T (total T in the 200's) at the age of 22. You're numbers ,while they are low for someone your age, are still high enough that I would look for other solutions first. You don't just "try" Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), it is for life. There could be diet and lifestyle changes or supplements that could bring your levels up higher. Try all other options first bro.

I've tried a lot of things, I've been having these issues for more than 10 years. I eat fairly healthy, lift weights, have taken testosterone boosting supplements...etc. Nothing has had an impact on my testosterone levels. When I say I want to "try" Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I mean that I want to see if it helps with my symptoms. From what I understand the symptoms are just as important as the blood tests, and I have pretty much all of the symptoms of low T.

Do you have any suggestions as far as supplements go? What about Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) treatment? I've heard that Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) treatment alone can raise testosterone significantly in men with secondary hypogonadism.

Also to add to my earlier post: I was apparently dropped on my head a few times as a baby... Lol

Going to do an MRI probably this year also as slow growing but large non-cancer brain tumers run in the family (one pressing on my pituitary could have caused the low testosterone).
