Quick update: another successful donation, but note an issue has popped up.

Maybe some environmental effects. Drove home an hour. Slept 4. Drove back to work an hour. Couple sips of coffee. Grabbed my coworker n hustled to blood donation site. No lines so quickly processed. .....and blood pressure was 150/95. :-o. Don't think I've ever seen those numbers.

Donation went quick. Apparently high blood pressure fills the bag fast!

Back home. Couple hours more sleep. Coffee and more coffee, preworkout drink, off to the gym. Hit the BP machine before hitting the weights. 135/80

Hmmmmm.... about time to get off the equipose, I recon :) may have to work tadalafil into next blast

Also, weight 222#, expectedly a bit weak having just donated 8hrs earlier but put it all on the mats none the less
 
5mg tadalafil daily now, upped arginine too. BP 132/80. Damn mid sleep wood wakin' me up and no place to stick it! Lol

Normally i do press 1st. Last nite pressed last. Note a few posts above that my last of 5x5 was 215x4 short stroked. This go I finished my 5x5 with 220x6 full stroke!

Gains keep a comin'. Gonna be hard to drop back to trt next week :-(

Apparently no plateau in sight yet! Week 13 still. Consumed 3280cals today with too many carbs (wife wanted Dennys breakfast).... and lost half a pound!

Then cable squats... you'all saw my redneck stack above. Max 5 reps at 255. Legs have been aching ever since!

Well, tonight was leg day again. 155x5, little sore. 180x5, stretching out now. Ache gone. 210x5, I'm already stacking dbs on the machine, feels friggin heavy for some reason, I'm worried. 235x5, heave ho. Tough to get off the stops but done and done. Sit, catch my breath, let my stomach settle a bit, wipe sweat, chat up my attractive young workout partner as I'm doing the math on which dbs I can stack up to get 260#s!

She offers to help get me up. I laugh inside but say, "better you stand back. If one of these overloaded cables breaks, this bar is gonna fly!"
I've got 5#s plates, a 15#db on each side on one end of the plate, a 10#db on each side on the other end of the plates and on top of each 10# is a 5#db! Rube Goldberg cable machine!

Think of something that pissed me off. That was easy, it's election season! Lol. Crouch up under the bar, take up the slack, check everything visually. Get my shoulders behind the bar and set them. Back straight, hands on knees for the help getting it up.... and I don't need the help! Weirdest thing. It's light. Easy. Check my foot position, hands behind the bar, rrrooolll it back just a bit on my shoulders and...

Down n up. Down n up. Breathe and up, back straight and up. Five and up. Just a quick breather. I can do more. Gym partner gasps. Down and up. Down and Grrrrr uuuup. Down deep.... and push, push, push it up!

Breathe, regain composure, back straight, knees bend, dooowwwnnnn to the floor. Done. 260x8!!!

Shiz, this is gonna hurt in the morning :-o

Yeah. My TRT bloodwork was a little high E at 1mg anastrazole. Started this blast at 1/2 eod but bloodwork put the E kinda low so changed midway to 1 1/2 per week. Will do bw one more time next week before shutting down this blast, just for the data
 
... and it did hurt! And it STILL hurts. More like an ache down the back of my thighs. Got to the end of yesterday's biceps and had to quit cuz my legs were killing me! Today I was smarter. Couple ibus before triceps day, and an awesome day it was!

Let's back up tho. Update data from last week:

Highlights :
Angled cable bench on tuesday 130x5, 155x5, 175x5, 200x5, 220x6 (note today did 225x6!) Started cable tri's but felt an elbow stab after 2 sets so quit. All is well as today did 70x5, 80x5, 90x5, 100x5, 115x8 and still felt good so... 120x5!
I wrote up the squats already
A week ago: bent rows 95x5, 100x5, 100x8, 100x8, 100x8 (100# dbs heaviest available). DB curls 30x5, 35x5, 40x5, 40x5, 45x5, 45x4, 40x5, 40x3, ouch!
Changed cable lats to chin ups 8,10,12,8 but yesterday went back to cables 155x5, 185x5, 210x5, 235x7, 260x6, 260x6

All of this progress makes me want to extend. ... and then I do my b.p. today and even with the additives listed above, 149/86 :-(

BW scheduled for tomorrow. Couple more pins and it's over. Back to TRT.
I'll summarize it all in a week or two

Interesting little blood pressure info:

After some annoying personal stuff, drive to gym, walk down stairs, hit BP machine: 151/87 pulse 67
After 10 cardio, leg day, cool down and change clothes, hit BP machine: 134/77 pulse 97

Apparently what my blood pressure needs is MORE GYM TIME! Lol
 
Week 14. Last one yesterday. Bit short but that's ok, inventory used up n gone.

According to completely unreliable, not physiologically specific half life calculator, and returning to TRT schedule, blood levels should be 1/2 in two weeks and 1/4 in 5 weeks. TRT was 100mg/wk, but research says muscle retention would be better cruising at something closer to 200mg/wk?

Time off = time on + PCT sounds great if one has a natty system to save, but if one's natty system has already withered (due to old age), then time off will be based on bloodwork (liver, kidneys, hematocrit ) and blood pressure. Not sure what that will be just yet. Waiting on last week's bw results right now. Kidneys are a bit beaten up and BP sometimes higher than usual.

Of course, they removed the BP machine I was using! Buttheads. Measurements tomorrow. Blast summary to follow.

Got in 4 workouts last week. Some notes from last week:

Cable tri (with bar) 70x5, 80x5, 90x5, 100x5, 115x8, and feeling strong added 120x5
Cable (slight incline) bench 135x5, 160x5, 180x5, 205x5, 225x6!
Cable squats (note ass not in grass cuz of knees. Call me a wimp. It's all good) 160x5, 185x5, 215x5, 240x5, 265x5
Did cable curls with bar last week: 60x5, 70x5, 80x5, 90x5, 100x8. Credit to workout partner. After 3 sets, couldn't get the 90# up. Felt spent. She says walk it off, get a drink, get pissed. Came back, got the 90s AND the 100s!
Also went back to chins last week for 12,10,10,8 & 9. THEN I was spent!

The work of course is not over by a long shot, but it's time to cruise....

1st run 'in the books'. I did some vids too, but I'm too embarrassed to post them! God, I look old, flabby and weak!!!

Quick reference summaries:

I'm 54yo+

I started TRT and serious weight loss last Fall. On 11/22/16 I weighed 236.5# . At my lowest weight, and while fine tuning my TRT, weight was 208#.
My belly went from 44" to 40" and my chest (moobs) from 45.25" to 40.25" . Calorie target was 1770/day

I spent not nearly enough time stabilizing at 210#, got impatient and confidently jumped into 1st blast. 500TE/400Eq/500hcg/1.5mg anastrazole

Weight 210, now 224.5#
calf 16", now same
thigh 23.75, now 24.25"
belly 39.75, now 40.75"
Bicep cold flex 15.0, now 15.75"
Chest 40.5, now 42.25"

Granted some of these exercises were tweaked mid blast so apples vs oranges a bit but anyway...

Cable Bench (jumping forward 2 weeks for accurate comparison )
Was 90x5, 110x6, 130x8, 155x6, 175x6
Now 140x5, 165x5, 190x5, 215x5, 235x5

Cable triceps
Was 50x5, 60x5, 70x5, 85x9, 95 could not get up
Now 70x5, 85x5, 95x5, 110x5, 120x5

Cable squats
Was 95x5, 120x5, 145x5, 165x5, 190 x7
Now 165x5, 190x5, 220x5, 245x5, 275x5. (Yes I figured how to redneck the cable machine to 275)

Cable curls
Was 30x8, 40x8, 50x8, 60x8, 65x8 (1st day after switching from dbs to cables)
Now 70x5, 80x5, 90x5, 100x5, 115x8, 120x5

Bent rows
Was 50x5, 60x5, 75x5, 85x5, 100x4
Now 100x5, 100x5, 100x5, 100x5, 100x10

I did document a some chins back then
Was. 6, 5 @ bodyweight 213#
Now 12, 10, 10, 8, 9 @ 224.5

Cable wide grip lat downs
Was 100x5, 125x5, 150x8, 170x6, 195x4
Now 160x5, 190x5, 215x5, 240x5, 265x5

At about 3000cals/day, I gained 15#s in 14 weeks and an inch on my belly, so I feel like I over fed, as I wanted to.

Stuff I learned includes:

Ease up on the calorie ramp. I didn't really feel the kick until week 6 ish . I gained way too much weight in that 1st month than necessary.
For me, a good workout partner is important. I made way more workouts than she did, but my workouts were stronger with her than without.
I monitored my blood pressure, did extra bloodwork, take responsibility for my decisions and wisely now will cruise for a while.
Not all wives n girlfriends appreciate your extra libido! LOL. Add lube to your suppliment inventory.

And here's a simple test: if you can't even handle the troubles that come with ordering gear, ..... you're not ready to blast. ;-)
 
Final bloodwork :

Kidney numbers still out, about same as last. Need to completely clean up and see doc for follow up on this
Test 2926, so really stable

Here's the interesting thing. Estradiol 15.6

So I have to conclude that test conversion to estrogen, for me at least, is highly affected by body fat %

When I started TRT and was high bodyfat, 200mg/wk test and 1mg/wk anastrazole = 35.7 (7.6-42.6 range) (not sensitive lab)
Trt adjusted dose to 160mg/wk test and 1mg Anastrazole = 42.2 (not sensitive lab)
Doc suggested 2mg/Wk Anastrazole, but I knew from here not to go that high
Trt adjusted dose to 100mg/wk and adjusted 1.5mg anastrazole = 16.4 (sensitive lab)
Jumped into cycle, 500mg/wk test and 1.875mg Anastrazole (0.5mg eod) = 18.8 (sensitive )
So I went back to 500mg/wk test and 1.5mg/wk Anastrazole = 15.6 (sensitive )

So as I dropped fat, even with bumped up test, I converted less estrogen :)

Now dropping back down to trt, thinking I may actually be able to do 0.5mg Anastrazole. ... or maybe none at all!

Family camp out last weekend. Back in gym tomorrow

I still feel bad about that Carv. No reason I didn't go, just miscommunication. Thought you were done and you hadn't even started!
You were just an hour away. I'd been all over it had I not been so brain dead.

Thanx again, all. I use you guys as motivation and I hope this thread can do the same for other just starting out like me. Never too old! Never quit! Never give up!
 
Updates: cable squats last set of 5x5s, 260# for 8. Grrrr!

Last weekend camping meant limited showers which meant more/worse chestne. Working on cleaning that up as I drop back to TRT levels for a bit.
Received supplies for next blast already. And my NAC order arrived today. Still reading n researching dosages.

To you kids who might be reading this: (and to us older folks, that means anyone under 40 lol) do as I say, not as I do.
1st blast: 2 compounds, test n equipose = not recommended
2nd blast to come: 2 compounds, test n tren = highly not recommended

"Why not", you ask? "You wait until you are in your 50s before your first cycle and we'll talk", is my answer

Side note: my workout partner, who successfully ran 6 weeks of Var, ramped at 2.5, then 5.0, then 7.5, just had to bail on her 2nd. She jumped straight to 5mgs and a week later had an almost uncontrollable anger. Same supply. Very strange. Feel bad for her as her 1st was so smooth and successfully. Almost blissful. None of this stuff is to be trifled with.
