tried to drop Blood pressure naturally but....

im 25 years old and have done a few cycles, in which the only real side effect i had was high bp up in the 160/100 neighborhood. i havent been on any gear since april 2011. i have always had elevated bp as long as i can remember. i remember going to the dr at age 18 and my bp was 140/90 (and i was never nervous) so i wouldnt say the gear caused it... i went to the dr this morning and to my dismay, my Bp was 140/95.
i am really bummed because i have been trying almost everything natural (within my budget) to get it down, i am currently taking:

6-9 grams of arginine a day, 3-5grams lysine, niacin 125-200mg/day, niaciamide 125-250mg/day, chromium pico 200 mcg day, 10 caps of fish oils spread out thru the day, 6 caps of garlic, 400-800mg vitamin E, selenium 200mcg day. hibiscus tea 8-12 cups, passion flower tea 2 cups, sometimes horny goat weed tea which does dialate my blood vessels as i can see the effects on my boner (im rock hard now haha) but my bp is still up

i went over this with my doc and he is really issisting i take the meds which from my research is a pretty mild drug anyway its COZAAR 25mg /day

what do you bros think? is it time to take the meds? the last thing i want is to be 35 yrs old and find out the walls of my arteries and heart have thickened .. or not be able to cycle because of damage that was preventable..

my stats: 212 lbs. 6 ft, 25% bodyfat (i have been really sedentary cuz of a bad knee injury for 4 yrs that i dont have $$ to repair)

estrogen is up like 29, triglycerides are 317. hdls are low

ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED!

well if you had prior issues then OTC meds might not help but, I had BP issues on my first blast when I went to 500mg test a week. I was also in the high 160's / 90's and I was kind of shocked on just that dose I went up that high. I also started considering to go to a doc and get BP meds. There's some people on them here. I don't know anything about the long term side effects but, I think just not having to take 20 different (OTC) pills a day would be enough for me to do it. Of course having heart issues or something down the road would make me rethink it, I didn't think of those.

Well, normally I think I'm in the 130's with my BP so I guess it's not exactly low. However, I was able to get my BP down on the blast from the 160 / 90's into the 130's / 70's. I was tracking my BP each day, I got a at home monitor. I will list my BP below and then I will list the OTC meds I took to get it in range.

I tested once a night, but didn't note the dates:

168/90
152/83
152/94
161/90
138/75
157/86
158/85
156/86

133 / 71
129 / 77
127/76

I stopped testing after I was seeing those numbers, and there were days I checked it and didn't note it, if it was within range.

Supplements I started taking and the dosage that resulted in my lower BP:

- 6g fish oil
- coq-10 800mg
- red yeast rice - 1200mg
- hawthorne berry - 300mg
- cialis - 15mg eod
- Aromatase inhibitor (AI) sports nutrition - cycle support (1 scoop a day) - I think this could have had the most impact.
- "Blood Pressure Factors" - calcium, magnesium, hawthorne berry combo
- 81mg asprin

You can get the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) sports nutrition cycle support from amazon somebody recommended it to me that said he was having BP issues on cycle and that lowered it. If you check the amazon reviews you can see other saying the same thing, I think it's specifically for lowering BP, think it even says in the description.

Hope this helps.

I'm surprised you aren't taking red yeast rice, I hear people say that over and over that it's good for lowering BP. cialis is also used in lowering BP. I would definately try those and the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) sports nutrition cycle support. If you really want to try and lower it with otc meds. I think after 2 weeks if it's working you should start seeing changes.

Personally man, I would just get on some BP meds. A very good one that several guys I know use is Lisinopril. You definitely want to get that blood pressure in check man. That is a silent killer and really fucks up a lot of things if you let it get out of hand including your kidneys and your heart. I am borderline on the blood pressure scale so I am considering getting on them. Both my parents are on them so I would rather play it safe than sorry you know. Another thing that really helps me with my blood pressure is 10mg per day of Cialis. That has dropped mine 10-15 points. Whatever, the case, you need to get it taken care of bro. I also supplement the following and it keeps my BP in check on cycle.......

800mg Magnesium/d
800mg Potassium/d
1.5g Calcium
150mg CoQ-10

Just to add to the great suggestions above, donate blood. If your blood cell count gets too high (cycling does this), it can make your blood thick - increasing your blood pressure. I donate every time I'm able to, and have noticed a good 8-10 systolic/5 point diastolic drop. I am also on Lisinopril, which has completely brought my bp within a healthy range.

My .02c :)

wow, alot of guys using cialis.. do u guys use it for the bedroom or for bp issues?
but its pretty much decided. im gonna go on cozaar 25mg a day. i just got back from my client's dr appt and ask the doc to check my bp . it was 160/100. i freaked out. gonna jump on some red yeast rice and coq10 for cholesterol too. thanks for your responses bros!

I use it for both. Some guys say, "I don't need Cialis to fuck my girl." I tell them you can start a fire by rubbing 2 sticks together but why do that when the lighter was invented." Cialis is beneficial for guys and especially guys like myself on TRT. Helps stop the prostrate from swelling, gives me a great hard on, and lowers my BP and doesn't make me feel bad. It is a great addition.

FDA approves Cialis to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia

RIP is spot on as usual. CoQ10, omega oils and a little bp meds from your md.

Hey man I had the same situation over the past years. My weight used to fluctuate like crazy but what I noticed was when I did cardio ( to lose weight durin spring) I used to juice at the same time, and I mean the juicing with a juicer twice a day w veggies and fruits. It was the cardio or juicing that would bring it down to perfect range

Rip Your body uses Magnesium to metabolize the Calcium. Low Magnesium is often the cause of Diabetes and heart Decease. How did you come to 800 mg of magnesium? There is a correlation with No2 levels and the protein that blocks calcification of the arteries. L-argene is what ties them all together.

oh i also forgot to state that my blood work showed very low vitamin d levels. we did 2 tests 3 months apart and came in still low... doc prescribed 50,000 iu's vit d3 for one week. i have read countless studies linking numerous health issues including cancer and heart disease to vit d definciency . so im hoping that will help with the over all shitty feeling i always have. i wanna say thanks for all those that replied. very much appreciated.. gonna hop on the red yeast rice & coq10. gonna drop the arginine to 3g a day to see how i react to the bp meds. i decided to go on accupril instead. read a bunch of patient reviews and it looks like cozaar is pretty much hit and miss. some react awesome to it, some really bad. accupril looks like a milder drug and doesnt have soo many bad reviews.

Good point. Ooops. One thing I forgot to mention with my buddies protocol is that it is run for the first 2 weeks like that. After 2 weeks drop the Mag/Pot (unless your BP hasn't dropped at least 10 points, then stick with it for another two weeks). After 4 weeks just take the 150mg/d of the CoQ-10. Even dropping to 100mg/d will probably do for maintenance. I will find out how he came to the conclusion of 800mg mag but I will say that this protocol has worked wonders for me. Most recently on my Tren cycle, my BP shot up and it was 145/95. I started this and in literally 3 days it was back to 130/85 and I wasn't taking Cialis at the time. Good stuff!!

funny cause I had the same situation (high bp young age) I danced around the idea of taking meds until I had no choice but to go on a low dose medication for high BP so I feel your pain, there really is no way around it, it one of those thing that can catch up with you in the end.

Zephyr you should mover to Raw un-pasturized milk. It's the way the lord intended it. It will lower BP and help with the minerals.

funny you bring this up pirate, i have been looking for a good provider of raw milk in my area.. most are just too far from me. but i did do the next best thing , i have been making my own kefir at home unfortunately i have to use the regular store brand milk, but nothing ultra pasturized..it still comes out really good. the way i know my kefir is good to go is i dont get the shits (i am lactose intolerant). i am also gonna start growing my own wheat grass and adding that to my daily juicing that i do which includes but not limited to: beets, radish, celery, carrots, kale, spinach, blueberrys, bananas apples etc . ive been really trying to get my fat ass healthier ! haha.
