TRT not helping erections, adding Cialis.

As the title states. My TRT HAS improved erections, but for some reason not when I need them. They will pop up (no pun) every now and again threw out the week, but usually when I'm at work and not trying to have an erection, much less sex. Then when I (try to) get down to business, my penis decides he wants to take a nap.

It's not the attractiveness of the female either. It's just something chemically imbalanced. Now I'm going to add Cialis to my list of meds, but I would like some input on what you other guys using Cialis do.

I have a choice between taking the 20mg tablet "as needed" which would be way more expensive (if I want sex more than 5 times a month), and I would have to carry around a little pill whenever I "think" I may have sex. Or the 2.5 - 5mg tablet daily. The cost would be about the same. What do you guys do? Daily or as needed? Daily to me seems like it would be a smarter move, but I may be missing something here. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I take 5mg of Cialis daily. TRT helped with erection frequency but I sometimes had trouble with duration. With Cialis there is never a problem. It also helps normalize BP. Added benefit. I can find no negatives to taking low dose Cialis daily. I use the liquid form.

yes add it, it will help BPH and should help libido.

Some guys are hypo without ED and some are hypo with ED. Studies show that 50% of the time with men who are hypo and ED, need both meds. They act primarily through different mechanism's.

OP, your problem is in your head. If you're over 30, dose 10mg every day. You'll never have an issue and you'll reap all the associated benefits.

Here's a little experiment for you. Drink a six-pack then go have sex. Your erection will be the last thing on your mind. You'll be too preoccupied with the greatest thing ever created on earth (for me, women, but whatever your sexual preference is) to worry about it and stay hard the whole time.

I had trouble getting and staying hard when drunk, back when I used to drink

Quit due to hormone issues? It sounds silly, but I keep telling myself I am done, then go to a wedding or something and have a few drinks. Not daily, but a few times a month. Pisses me off I keep doing it... especially given I have fought hormone issues for the past 10 years.

Anyway, OP - Cialis is great! But... I needed Cialis before TRT. These last few months... last thing I need is Cialis. Like 3J said, whats your protocol? Better yet, what is your latest TT and E2 reading?

Nope, quit because that which I needed to survive was slowly killing me; I am a recovering alcoholic. The added benefit is that it makes it easier to not drink while on TRT / a cycle. :)

My TRT protocol is currently 50mg (200mg/ml) E3.5D.

My TT levels are last checked 609 ng/dl trough.

No clue on estrogen. I have a great doctor.

Also no, its not in my head. That's what my doc kept telling me when I said I had low testosterone. It's all in your head, your just imagining it, now I am on TRT. I hate when people say that. Also if I drink a six pack, the LAST thing I will get is an erection. If I have one beer, just one, no erection. Will not happen.

So besides that, thank you guys for your helpful answers. I am going to add it, and ill take the daily. That seems to be the best way to go. Cheers.

I'll add my overpriced two cents. What kind of diet are you on? I live in the great southwest. Mexican food is abundant. While (to me), it's the best tasting food in the world, the fat and great have an effect on my erection. I came to that conclusion through trial and error. If I eat lean and mean, I can have awesome sex with no medical assistance. If I have a big greasy fatty meal, not even ED meds can help me.

Interesting info - I will have to keep this in mind when I have troubles.

Those sentences contradict each other.

i'd have to agree..

you need a full cbc, m e t a b o l i c panel, lipids, and a full hormone panel which includes LH, FSH, free test, total test, e2, prolactin, shbg, and dht..

IF you really want to dial in correctly and make sure your health is in check while on trt you need all of it

Oh, that was sarcasm.

He is terrible at administering and monitoring TRT protocol. Good doc if I fall and get a cut on my knee though. Unfortunately he is all I can afford at the moment with no insurance, so I have to play those cards.

Once again, it is not in my mind, head, psychological, emotional, or any way caused by any mental problem or anxiety.

I can tug and pull on it all I want while comfortably sitting in my room alone watching porno, and it doesn't respond. I understand the logic behind what a few of you guys are saying, but I know my body well, and I can guarantee you its not in my head.
