TRT Roller Coaster need some help

Hey guys, need some insight.

About 9 months ago I started a Test Cyp regime through my doctor. My T levels were 123 (348-1197 Range) LH & FSH were within low normal range. don't know the exact number but they were mid 4's on a 1.5-12.4 range. Estrodiol was low also. I was prescribed 200mg once a week. Did this for 8 weeks with no noticeable gains in mood, weight loss, or libido. (5'8 265). Was also prescribed Levothyroxine (synthroid) to address a thyroid that was slightly out of range. This I took for 4 weeks and gained 20 lbs. after that I quit taking the Levo and leveled out. No changes in diet, eating fairly clean. Went back to the doc for bloodwork. T levels were only at 430 (same ranges) and estrodiol was not checked at the bloodwork up. Doc bumped me up to 240mg test cyp a week. After 6 weeks my ankles swole up like i was 9 months prego, went to the doc and my T levels were 1145 and my estrodiol was 75. Still felt like shit... So i Scrapped everything cold turkey, probably not the best thing but I was afraid of my estrodiol being so high and the doc refused to prescribe armidex.

After I scrapped everything I got an appt. at MUSC in Charleston to see another Endo.
Here are my latest results:
This is after 4 weeks of nothing at all

Test serum: 260 Range: 348-1197
Free test 9.7 Range 8.7-25.1
CORTISOL 0.7 RANGE 2.3-19.4 ---- This really worries me.. I had them test this thinking Pit tumor/cushings/hashimodos
TSH 1.67 Range .45-4.5
LH <0.2 Range 1.7-8.6
FSH 0.2 Range 1.5-12.4
IGF-1 215 Range 98-282

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

You need to go back on TRT and fix your protocol. Instead of 200mg a week try 100mg every 3.5 days. And you very likely will need an Aromatase Inhibitor like arimidex. The problems you ran into were because your estradiol was spiking up and you were on too much of a roller coaster with your TT levels.

Read the sticky post in this forum called Basic TRT Overview for a better understanding of what is going on and why TRT hasn't worked well for you so far.

But get back on TRT and do it correctly. Being hypogonadal has big health risks.

Also, please note your current LH and FSH. Your HPTA is still completely shut down. That Total T you are seeing is what is left over from the prior injections you gave yourself.

Thanks Mega

The LH & FSH are obviously jacked right now due to taking the Test. My biggest problem is the doc wants to wait till May before they retest and get me started on anything again. On one hand I want to think they know what they are talking about but experience and my unwillingness to accept anything they are throwing out at me makes me want to say screw em!

Do you have any experience with Cortisol levels?

Waiting is just going to get you back to your pre-aTRT hypogonadal levels. Unless you want to try a restart right now, there is no point in waiting to get back on TRT. So do the restart now or TRT now.

As for cortisol, I don't know. I can't imagine that the stress you are going through right now though is helping.

The red lion at the top can get you some Adex if your Doc won't give you a scrip. 200 a week is a lot of test IMO for TRT purposes but it will definately spike your estrogen. Especially for guys that have a higher BF%.

I'm 5'11 268 and hover about 20% on my BF and after 3 months my E2 after 100mg a week was in the 160's. I got liquid adex and a 1ml syringe and took .2ml every 3,5 days and after 2 weeks feel a shit ton better. Labido came back and my energy is back. I'm going to do bloods at the end of the month but I can tell a huge difference. BTW my doc wouldn't give me a scrip either and jst shrugged his shoulders when I told him I was tired as Fck.

TRT protocols need 3 things to work...

1) Controlling Testosterone
2) Controlling E2
3) This becomes a problem if it goes unchecked after a while, is Hematocrit levels.

If you are not controlling both 1 and 2, your TRT protocol is as good as taking a natural test booster (as in it is shit). E2 too high or too low can throw you off completely, you will be surprised how good you feel once your e2 and test are at the appropriate level.
