trying to start TRT

First of all I'm 30 years old 300 pounds and 6 foot 2 ,Years ago I used to be a lot bigger, and in much better shape I was in the Navy for 6 years. Seems like all I did was work out back then Nowadays eh not so much. That's not saying I don't work out but not nearly the same level I used too. That being said things are changing because of a really good friend of mine, he insisted I had low T. he asked me a whole pack of questions aparently I failed the test because when we were done he told me I needed to go see a doctor. so I did! My Idiot doctor said it was ridiculous for me to even consider testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at my age that I was fine? Notice I did say idiot doctor! I went back to my friend and said my doc didn't think it was a good idea he ask if the doctor bother to check my blood levels? To which I replied no! So my buddy said f*** the doctor And gave me a 2-ml shot of test C about 400 milligrams. Man did I ever see a difference! All of the low T bull crap I had experienced For the last 4 years by the way went away within 3 weeks. I went back to my friend three weeks later and told him that he saved my life! All my symptoms went away! I was losing weight I had a sex drive again I had a huge amount of energy and generally felt awesome! So at that point I did another two ml's of Test C .i then went back to my doctor informed him of what I done And man did he give me a blood test because I wanted to know what my levels were at. so we did and they came back with a total of 600?
He expected them to be much higher And said that I probably did have a low level to begin nwith.now he won't write me a prescription with my level being at 600. He didn't sis did that I would have to drop down to 200 to 250 range in order for him to write me a prescription. (Wtf) So I didn't began My own research. I've learned a lot about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) a lot about where I need to be what kind of dose need to take But The problem is going to be a finding a doctor! I live in a live in soldotna Alaska so it's not like I have a lot of options up here. I even checked with another doctor basically told me to f*** offthe bc he didn't want to deal with an anabolic abuser? So when I was looking around the internet I saw buy test C here buy testosterone here and I thought well hell I'll just use one of these! What a f****** dumb idea! Because they just took my money? Anyway my best hope at this point is to lower my levels low enough to get my doctor wright itfor me. So my question would be do any of you guys have any suggestions? And any advice would be most welcome?

I guess I'm going to have to figure out how to get my levels back down low enough but it's going to suck having to live that way! Even if it is only for a little while.

It is going to suck, but you are going to have to go off the test for a while and let your levels go back to normal so you can get some blood tests done. You need the blood tests to show that you have Low T. Too bad you didn't get labs before you started injecting.

Second, stop telling your docs the truth. Just tell them about the low T symptoms you have been having. Don't tell them about the self-medicating you have done. That doesn't get you off to a good start in building a trusting relationship. I know that is ironic given that you are trying to tell the truth and disclose everything.

Work towards getting a prescription for Test if you really do end up having low T. I would give the injections you have taken about 4-6 weeks to clear out of your system. Make sure you keep an eye on your estradiol levels. Testosterone can aromatize into estradiol.

If you have run out of doctors up in Alaska, give IMT, the board sponsor, a call. You will see their ad off to the right. Lot's of guys on this site use them.

Welcome!

Even if you have to stop using test for a month or so and even though it would have been nice to have had your base total from before....you should be tickled speechless....it sounds like your first doc will prescribe for you in a month to 6 weeks....so life is about to get much better for you consistently because your friend recognized your symptoms....too bad the doc is a stickler for the rules I'd think up there a guy should get to break some rules now and then.

Stick around and ask some questions, make some posts and me or someone else will hook you up to some places for your supplies.

I'll trust me man I am absolutely astonished at the difference!!!!:)
I had a Harley Davidson that I rode three times in the last 2 years and I've put almost 2,000 miles on it this summer!
That and my wife has been walking bow-legged for the past month! Lol

But doesn't it stand to reason that with a total level of 600 after two 400 milligram injections.
that my doctor should be able to know that I had a low level to start with. Without me having to Come off of it for so long?

I think he does know but needs/wants to see it on your lab report so quick make some friends at the lab and make sure the next one comes back like under 200....lol....actually it very well might since you should have shut down your test production from those shots...but it's OK, had you taken those shots and not felt any difference well then you would maybe now need a post cycle therapy (pct) to restart your system....

My first set of labs, the doc wanted to see total test, estrogen, FSH, LH and several other things. Docs like to start from a normal base point, not a medically induced one. That's why one, you don't tell them anything about what you did and two, get things back to normal before you see him. A lot of it's based on timing, so give yourself a solid month of clean time before you revisit it. And that's assuming your natty system is back up to it's own pace. I'd suggest getting your own labs done using privatemdlabs or the board sponsor hormone testing md... Be informed but don't give away the store!

Hey, if you actually could make some lab friends you wouldn't need to stop those test injections right now ;)

Sure it makes sense to you and the rest of us that your Low T can be inferred. But how does your doctor know your story is true? And you just told him that you have been illegally using anabolic steroids which isn't going to help put his mind at ease. None of us have a medical license that we would like to keep in good standing. And if you are trying to use health insurance to pay for your treatment, they have certain requirements they want to see being met before they start footing the bill. They don't like to buy testosterone for guys with levels in the 600's. You need to out yourself in their shoes.

Okay tell me this and I do understand you guys are not doctors. but it has been 1 week since my labs and over three weeks since my last injection I still feel like a million bucks! Does that mean that it's possible that the test injections I took Somehow boosted my testosterone level Back up to where it was supposed to be? Or does it just take a long time To wear off?
And Taking those injections of test C . Do you think that was enough to shut down my testosterone system?

The half life of Cyp is around 8 days... so 8 Days later=200mg left, 16 days=100mg left (the normal starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose), 24 days= 50mg left (and the usual point at which you'd feel low). So yes, it takes time to wear off... But by now (21-24 days) you should definetly be hitting bottom, but you also haven't been suppressed long enough to really say your natty is shutdown. The only real way to know is wait it out a couple more weeks and get your own labs drawn, which is determined by FSH and LH levels.

Incidentally, most doctors won't even talk to you about low test if you come in with a number over 350. .......

Well that being said, do you think its possible for the amount that I took to have such a profound effect on my symptoms?
And how do you think my natural levels will react as this begins to wear off?

Also despite feeling absolutely amazing, I had a little bit of nipple sensitivity going on. Not so much anymore but I wondered if that was a negative Side effect or something that normally happens?

*hands up* its absoultely hard to say... everyone is different man. Honestly, the only real way to know whats going on with YOUR body is with an accurate measurement of your blood work (combined with your physical feelings at the time). How do you think doctors make their decisions? Despite the best medical training and up to date knowledge, diagnosis still depends on a number of varying factors. That's why it so important to find a Dr. that seems (at least) to understand the symptoms your experiencing, and the solutions you feel are appropriate.

I fully believe that doctors, followed by nursing staff, followed by computer guided diagnostic tools, followed by (whatever!) still make mistakes! Despite one of the best medical systems in the world, people in the US still go ill/die because of human error. To the best of my own ability, I will NEVER leave it up to medicare or anyone else to tell me what is wrong in my own body.

Well first off I want to thank you guys for being so helpful! And I absolutely agree with what you said about doctors not always know everything. I went into this thinking it was an obvious decision On their behalf. But it wasn't And now I've had a taste of the good life so to speak. And ran into it full steam ahead, into the waiting on arms of scammers going to make a buck. And the second doctor I seen just had no clue! He gave me some f****** speech about the DEA! And how Steroids would give me a heart attack.
From everything I've read And all of my personal Experiences to this point. I'm certain I need to be on it. I mean I've started working out again And I need to surround myself with people that I can trust other than doctors to tell me what's going on that's why I joined the site. I have a pretty good home gym and a gym membership, but I'm too new to the area and don't have any friends here so the aspect of walking up to the biggest guy in the gym and asking him for advice about using my gear(lol) just seems like the best way I can think of to get my ass kicked! I found this website and have been reading it for the past month. I found a ton of info on here! You guys really knowledgeable, and honestly I think you guys have more to tell me about what I need to know that my doctor does!

I was just checking out my profile how the hell do you get friends on here is it like Facebook? Lol

You're already on your way brother! Just asking these kinds of questions (opposite of uninformed juvenile questions about how to big jacked quick), puts you well above the the average. Don't give up on your own personal quest for a better life, and we're here for you when you hit a wall!
