What do u think about doing every muscle bi's, tri's, back Etc, twice a week . will that build mass quicker just wanna know some thaughts . Reply :)

I know very few guys that can get away with hitting everyhting twice a week.

The majority can only do one bodypart a week except for calves and abs.

Honeslty just do everything once a week and focus on getting stronger in bench\deads\squats and your muscles will grow like weeds.

And oh yeah eat like a pig and fouces on eating a boatload of protein.

just my 2 cents
take it easy brotha

I am sure alot of the vets will chime in here and point u in the right dircetion we got alot of good guys here.

You can do twice a week, you just can't use as much volume each day as most guys do when they do the standard once for each bodypart a week routine. You can still use the same volume each week, you just have to split it up between the days.

If you do this right, in the end you are still doing the same amount of volume each week. Personally, I think higher frequency works better for size gains, as long as you take care not to overtrain. I don't see why it's such a big deal to most people. As long as you know your body well enough, you should be able to make this work.

Oh, and if you need proof that this works, just look around at some of the more successful training routines. They hit the bodyparts more than once a week. DC, 5x5, etc.

Best gains I ever saw came from training 3x a week honestly. Once around 18 years old next time at 26, revisiting that currently.

Meaning a 3 day split or training each body part 3x a week?

assuming you have above average ecovery abiltities you will be able to get away with this style of training..how long?-that is an individual thing 5 weeks maybe more maybe less..

the body will adapt and then head into overload and then start to give everything back that you gained if you continue to train that way..

How about 12 weeks? I did an extended HST cycle a while back, full body every other day, which equals 7 times every two weeks. I did fine and grew like crazy. As long as you manage your volume, you will do fine. A lot of the old pros way back in the day trained full body 3 times a week and some of them were natural, so... I think people on gear should be able to handle it. You just have to know what you can handle.

Oh, and taking a couple weeks off or doing some sort of deloading every now and then helps.

I have gained well on HST (training 3X a week), but I've never really stuck to it for extended periods of time. The key is that you aren't going to failure 90% of the time, way less taxing on the CNS.

What does your routine look like? You don't feel you're overtraining?
Personally I had my best gains when I was still natural, believe it or not, and that was with the following routine:
bi+shoulder; tri+chest; lats+back, rest, shoulder+bi, chest+tri, back+lats.
Then repeat the next week.
This meant hitting everything twice a week. I never overtrained, unless I did something stupid like armwrestling. I never trained legs at that period due to injurie.
Also training was 45min/day.

True, you have to mix it up know matter how you train.Keep the body thinking.

Sweaty as hell, thats what it looks like. ;)

Divide the volume by 3. My primary concern right now is general fitness because I hadn't been doing cardio for so long, there is no way I'd last very long in Muay Thai. After I can get back to a 6 minute mile I will worry about coming back into the 240/250 pound range.

Right now I'm 228.5 as of this AM, clean, and benching a paltry 365 (haven't been barbell benching for the past 6 weeks either).
