urobilinogen high in recent labs

Got another set of labs back. Urobilinogen is just into the high range. Possible liver and intestine problems. Gluten intolerance. Anyone know anything about this value?

What is your RBC? Is it in range?

From WIkipedia.. Elevated levels may indicate hemolytic anaemia (excessive breakdown of red blood cells RBC), overburdening of the liver, increased urobilinogen production, re-absorption ***8211; a large hematoma, restricted liver function, hepatic infection, poisoning or liver cirrhosis.[1][2]

If this is the first blood test with this result, I would not freak out. Any labs you get are not necessarily true results unless they can be verified with additional lab results. There are many things which can skew lab results on a one time basis.

Get retested and go from there ..

Yeah first lab with it. Most things are in ranges.

LDL is slightly high @ 106mg/dL with a range 0-100 but doc said it was ok.

RBC: 5.16 M/uL up from 4.88M/uL range (4-6)
HGB: 15.4 g/dL up from 14.6 range (12.5-7)
HCT: 47.7% up from 43% range (37-50)
TSH: 1.25 uIU/mL up from 0.85 range (0.3-4.2)

I also have elevated Basophil @ 1.2%, same as labs July 2016 but docs never mentioned it.

I googled it and of course it sounds like you're going die. I feel good but that doesn't mean something isn't wrong either.

Changes since last labs are an increase in a benzo for epilepsy, starting TRT and adding oatmeal at least 1 serving a day. ***ned has been a little darker but I haven't been drinking enough water either. If anything is actually going on I would actually look more towards my guts than liver.

I would not sweat it at all. Continue to try to drink more water which is always a good thing. Keep an eye on your hemocrit/hemoglobin and make sure you are doing your regular blood donations.

Yes, do not wait until you reach a higher level to donate. Your RBC will creep up and eventually when I gets too high it can be too late. You are better off doing frequent blood donations and not waiting until it is out of range.

Basically even at a TRT dose RBC production will slowly outpace their life span, slowly increasing levels?

I was figuring with my increase only being 28 M/uL at 15 weeks I would be ok. HCT is at the tip of the range tho. . . . Have to get a date set up.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!! Starting TRT has made me more concerned with my health than anything else including my epilepsy. I was a wait till symptoms type of person. Now I feel like I'm back on an even playing field and not just a limp sensative epileptic with tits and no motivation. No seizures and TRT erases all excuses. I still forget stuff but diet, training, meds, Labs, projects ect are all on me. Feels good.

I was mostly talking about HCT when I mentioned RBC. They are correlated , but the HCT is what you need to worry about and do a blood donation over. It is my understanding increased RBC can help in cardio vo2 max performance. Unfortunately, when RBC goes up, the HCT also goes up.
