Does anyone know of an easy to read comprehensive article on the Westside principles? I've seen articles, but they were dreadfully hard to follow, so I was looking at something that is actually understandable :D

they are all worded like that. try some dave tate articles. loui is in another world. i will add that i trained that way for about 12 weeke one time and got severly overtrained. if you got average recovery genetics it will wear your ass out. for those who do well on volume work it works very well.

i didnt care for all the assistance work. i think he got too far away from the basic movements but thats my .02.

I do like his idea with the weighted chains. I got a chance to use some for a little bit, and they really help you to explode through the entire movement.

just started training this way, just getting to the point where i understand the basics now. Haven't advanced to chains and bands yet and wont for about 4-6 months, but watch the assistance work, it will kill you like pullin said, i made the mistake to think i could do four assistance exercises every day and it aint so. Read all the articles at elite fitness systems and you will get a good understanding, their are links in dadawgs sticky.

you dont have to train " westside " to use some of their excercises and techniques . that is why you see a lot of people say they use a modified westside program . imo stuff like the chains and bands are great even for those who dont have aspirations of being powerlifters , the variety they allow keeps things interesting and fun in the gym .

PB, that avatar is hot shit!

Is that you teaching some babe to squat?
