What about the poor yolks?

Hey Everyone,

I had a quick question. I am sure a lot of us have a very high protein diet which involves 3-6 eggs a day or even more for some. Now I am also sure that we all know that the healthy part is the white part, and the yolk is bad for cardiovascular reasons any many more. So what exactly do you guys do with the yolk? I used to just throw mine out, but my wife and I got in a big fight over throwing yolks out lol. It sounds silly but she is big on not wasting food. Any creative ideas for the poor yolk?

No, don't eat the yolks. Ask your wife if she'd rather you have a heart attack or throw the damn yolk away.

lol you're right, I should use that. And for those of you taking in so many yolks a day, you're not being tough or anything, you're just being stupid and putting your heart at a risk.

If you're asking this question, I am highly convinced you have no business running AAS. Diets not rocket science. I swear people make it more difficult then what it should be...

bro chillax and step it down a notch. There's no need to get hyper. If you didn't have an advice, then it's better to just skip by the thread.

Yeah you can also buy quarts of just egg whites.

thanks a ton. If it's alright, please just close this thread. I just posed a question to ask for advice, I didn't want people getting hyped. I got my answer so please just close the thread before more comments start coming this way.

3g of prwotein in the yolk, 3g in the white. I eat 5 full eggs a day. My cholesterol and all other levels are fine. Its overhyped.

It all depends on your age as to whether yolks are healthy or not for you. Im a medical bio major in school and this past semester in nutrition the topic was brought up. if you are over the age of 40 you should not be eating the yolks. younger than that an you are fine. the heart and body typically starts to deteriorate at a much faster rate after the age of 30 and typically 40+ is when CVD begins to onset.

After reading a few studies on the issue, I personally dont eat yolks at all anymore. its really all up to you,but in the end it is more age and family history dependent.

If your wife has a problem wasting yolks just tell her its a matter of health or buy the egg whites so you can avoid the situation.
