Seen so many people saying different exercises for these but what is the best to really target the lat and traps.

I find deadlifts hit my traps pretty good. After that some pull ups and a few row exercises finish off my back reall well. What's your current routine look like for your back?

Specifically for lats, wide grip chins all time best IMO. Make sure from a dead hang so you get the stretch.

For traps nothing beats heavy shrugs. Holding the shrug for a few seconds on set rep

my back usually involves, pull downs front/back. seated rows. bent over row, then the ones with the dumbbells i don't no the name of them lol still quite a newbie, Deadlifts, thats usually it, i warm up 2 sets of wide grip pull ups till failure

Try less volume. Start with deads 2-3 warm up sets. 5 working seats

Then do pull ups and 2 other row exercises max. That will be plenty. Throw in some shrugs at the end if you feel you really need to.

Wide grip chins have packed the mass on for me, noticeable difference going from dumb bell rows.

Always stuck to shrugs for traps (heavy low rep) and there growing so can't be going too wrong there!

Love me some pull ups, wide grip, close grip, reverse grip. Weighted and non weighted. I just did them yesterday and my lats are feeling it. Traps I always just do barbel shrugs, usually stick around 285 or 315, I don't use straps so I'm working my grip strength at the same time.

its all genetics bro, i hardly hit my traps and the bitches r thier like a fukin vampire . just lift heavy 6-8 reps bam

It does im a personal trainer , and ive noticed through my practices that people always have a muscle or muscle group that responds well in comparison to the rest of thier body . its userly either shoulders/trap , legs or chest and triceps

I see that at my gym too, or at least the ones whose arms are their strong point because it seem that's all they work out lol.

dead lifts and then u can do a fews sets shrugs after that grab some dumbells too heavy to even shrug and hold them for as long as u can. let it stretch and burn

Deadlifts my man, deadlifts. Admittedly, my answer to most questions will be deadlifts. I love them. They thicken my back immensely.

Godspeed sir.

Thats what i am doing... nice .... i like dbell shrugs holding at the top ghen grab a heavy weight (more than u can shrug well) and just let the weight hang.... awesome stretch ( i usally do that on the hammer strength shrug machine )... hold lil ur ted in the face.
