I am 38 years old 5'7 and 180 and about 31 % body fat. I did a very large cycle years ago (2005) and I have lifted and done cardio since then, but now I want to get my body fat down. I do cardio and I have tried to go on a lower cal diet but I can't seem to get my body fat below 28 %

What can I take to suppliment and help me to shed some body fat and weight.

I read on this forum T3 is not for me since my body fat is in double digits

Thank you!!

You should not use T3 without also usi g exogenous Testosterone. It will burn away your muscle.

Have you tried a ketogenic diet? There are no magic pills -- sorry.

Yes I have been on ketosis. I got the sticks and tested my level. I know there is no magic pill, but there are certainly pills that help boost the fat loss process (T3) even though I know that is not for me now .

I am looking for other suggestions besides T3, based on my height and high body fat

Thank you

Perhaps an EC Stack. Do not get the idea that it will perform miracles. We are talking a few extra pounds if you run it. Read the study below and let us know if you want to know more about it.

The effect of leptin, caffeine/ephedrine, and their combination upon visceral fat mass and weight loss. - PubMed - NCBI

You can read the following thread on Thermogenics too.

I am not looking to loose just a few pounds...I want to go from my current weight of 180 to 165.

Would adding one of these to my cardio routine help. I don't care about preserviing my muscle as I have not been tot he gym in 9 months anyway. For my cardio, I ride a cycle bike in my living room for about 20 a day.

What can I add to my cardio to assist me ?

Winstrol ?
Anavar ?

If you haven't worked out in 9 months - you should be very concerned about preserving your remaining muscle

Steroids will do nothing for improved cardio endurance. There are SARMs that some say were helpful. Or maybe you could try EPO.

Not can you use Anavar or Winstrol without exogenous testosterone -- assuming you are male.

Have you done any research or are you just throwing spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks?

Wholeheartedly agreed ^

Also, you do realise that staying out of gym/not lifting will make your cut take longer right? Unless for whatever reason you're only trying to hit a number on a scale and not actually concerned with looking leaner...

Lifting weights preserves muscle. Muscle that would otherwise be broken down and used for energy to fuel your body. Guess what happens if you prevent most of that muscle breakdown? The energy has to come from elsewhere = fat tissue. Not only that, but you look leaner by body fat percentage just for having more LBM.

Trying to cut without lifting just doesn't make sense to me. You'd have to lose more weight to look the same... only smaller?

What can you take?

The fork out of your mouth. :D

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

If you want to lose 15lbs, you just have to do one thing: burn 54,000 calories more than you consume. Seriously. It's MUCH easier to fix your diet, but a smaller cut in the diet along with weight training an low impact steady state cardio will be more effective.

Sure, there are LOTS of drugs that will shed 15lbs from your body, but if you don't learn how to do things the right way, you'll gain them right back - with the serious possibility of even more fat.

My .02c :)

Why the fuck do people think the answer to fat loss is always cardio, cardio, cardio???

You'll lose much MUCH more fat and burn more calories training with weights, hard, so that you reach muscular hypertrophy than you will on a treadmill - FACT!

Bodybuilders just top up their calorie burn with cardio - the cardio isn't the 'be all and end all'

I suggest you learn how to formulate tough, high intensity weight training sessions and tie this in with a calorie deficit - and watch the bodyfat tumble!

Parroting what other have said, you have to burn more calories than you consume if you want to lose weight. It really is that basic. HOW to do that gets more complex, but not much more. You first need to find out how many calories you need to stay at your current weight. Without that info, you cannot possibly know how many you need to lose safely. Read this first page in the thread I linked, below, and you will learn how to compute your caloric needs:

http://www.steroidology.com/forum/diet-forum/153271-free-diet-advice-3j.html

Then do heavy weight training to build and KEEP muscle as well as adding in some moderate cardio sessions (heartbeat around 130-135 for 20 mins), with a 500 cal deficit, and you should see the pounds slowly fall off. You do not want to lose more than 2-3 pounds a week or else you could end up with a ton of loose skin around your belly which will never go away without surgery. Slow and steady is the right way to do it. You have decades of life left, if it takes a year to lose it all and keep it off, that time is insignificant.

A simple reduction in calories and eating clean food will help you achieve 15 lbs lost. But remember the more muscle you have the more calories you burn. Unless you don't care how you look and just want to see a number pop up on the scale I would suggest getting in the gym. There is no easy road here. Also why are you considering ANY form of AAS when you are not even planning on lifting. Nothing is magic and even with some type of drug you have to eat clean and bust your ass. Reconsider your goals and make it happen. You will be much happier and it will be much easier to make being in shape and healthy a life style if you do it correctly. good luck
