Honestly I think supplements are great.
A lot of people hate supplement companies because they over hype the products and lie about them. Saying that certain products will give you 10 pounds of muscle In a week and what not. But I can say from experience and studying about supplements for a long time that there are a lot of helpful products out there. I personally notice a very big difference when using a Bcaa drink while working out. I also enjoy pre work out drinks for the euphoria and extra kick of energy and pumps. I think that all the different types of protein out there can be very use full for meeting protein requirements for the day or just for a quick something to help to keep the muscles fed before sleeping.
Obviously when compared to steroids they are nothing special. But for a natural bodybuilder they can help tremendously. Also the effects of certain supplements can be amplified by steroids. I mean protein and amino acids will definitely be used more efficiently by the body when taking something like testosterone in my opinion compared to if you were just natural. Honestly I just believe in using every single edge you can get to attain the physique you are after and supplements can help a person attain their goals quicker. I would say though that if some one never missed a meal and had everything perfectly calculated when it came to nutrition workout supplements wouldn't be needed as much. But it is almost unrealistic to meet those daily requirements for some people. Vitamins and certain health supplements though are essential in my opinion for optimum growth and health. I have personally noticed a difference after taking NAC I use to have pains around my liver and they disappeared. I have no idea how they disappeared but I don't get the pains out of the blue anymore. A certain knowledgeable member and his essential supplement list made me realize what NAC had to offer
