What is considered low test?

I'm 44 years old and thought I had low test but when I went to the Dr to have it checked it came back near 600 do I still qualify or are my nuts too strong? :bj:

Too high of t level for a script from your regular doc.You might talk to a clinic and check with them. There are a couple here that are sponsors.

You have decent "nut strength". If you are over 30, than yes, you do qualify for therapeutic treatment. The answer to your question is a lightening rod for controversy. And I have and will always believe that you can't properly medicate a "number". You medicate a symptom. At 600, on paper, you are "medically" in range. But we don't know any of your other numbers. How you "FEEL" at 600 and how the next guy feels, may be completely different. HRT/TRT is about affording patients the ability to "FEEL" good. Not look in the mirror and say, "LIFE'S GREAT, I HAVE GOOD NUMBER'S ON PAPER!"

You should be proud of your sack. Its been a good sack. But we can make it better.:Pump:

Chip is right, what most docs dont realize is that free testosterone is more important that total T.

Men with low free T should also recieve treatment, that comes straight from Dr Aziz @ the A4M.

the guy with 600 total T and low free T will feel worse than he guy with 350 total and high free T.

Yeah you gotta look at FREE T. I ran a high T but my free T was low at one point and I felt like absolute hell.

The bottom line is too many doctors will use the "average man" test and if your numbers are in the range of 400 - 800 ng/dl for total and 70 - 120 pg/ml for free, they will tell you "your numbers look good."

Well, don't settle for being the "average man." That is the problem with our society as a whole. Being "average" has become the goal!

That is totally f'ed up in my opinion! I had two different doctors tell me my numbers were "normal" at 579 ng/dl.

Hey, I've never been normal in my whole life - that is why I am as successful as I am today.

I finally had to make the case to my urologist that "normal" was not where I need to be. I had blood work over many years to show my normal test range was between 800 - 1100.

After going over all the published research and putting together a PowerPoint presentation on my goals (I shit you not, I took one of my laptops into his office and ran the presentation for him) he agreed to work with me on my current protocol.

Long story short, don't let your doctors benchmark you based on the "average man" standard unless you only hope to be average.

Regards.
