Would you throw out 500 tabs of anavar(5mg) if they were 5 years old and still in the bag
or would they just be a little weaker?

5 years is a long time, those might have lost significant effectiveness or broken down into a completely different compound

LOL nice one guys...I felt the same way about tossing them out, I was just a little hesitant as I purchased them for my female lab rat and she hasnt got around to using them as she keeps giving birth to baby rats......And they cost me $500 ......I wonder if its worth having a test done on some to check there potency as i live in Australia and its not that easy I thought to obtain Anavar for research purposes here in the land of OZ

Take a weeks worth and see if its still potent. Gear isnt a radioactive substance that breaks down into worse stuff, maybe it became a bit less potent but i highly doubt it will have any ill effect

I agree with Ketchup. Wont hurt you at all. In fact, most powder or pill formulated compounds, if maintained at relatively low humidity, can be good for a very long time (many years). But that does depend on the chemical. I looked up Oxandrolone for shelf life and as long as it was protected from light, its probably good for years and years:

Oxandrolone - PubChem

Savient Pharmaceuticals that sells it to patients says the shelf life is up to 5 years, but that is always conservative. My guess is you are good to go for 10 years with some potency remaining.

Moppy1 you are making me smile...I thank you and my female lab rat thanks you too, after more baby rat making in the future Im sure she will climb into the research lab and run some trial with them....thanks again..
This really shows that we can learn alot from each other and sharing info is always a forward progression in understanding and improving our goals
