What is your TRT protocol? How high do you keep your TT?

Just had my 30 day blood work with 50mg E3.5D cyp. I pinned on Sunday morning and had a blood draw on Tuesday morning (my next scheduled pin is Wednesday PM). The lab results came back at 705. The doc upped me to 65mg E3.5D and will retest in 60 days. I'm happy with 705 - I'm not chasing a number, but rather trying to rid myself of the extreme fatigue and brain fog. I'm concerned with sustaining a number of around 1,000 as there are no long term studies of the effect this will have on the body (specifically the affect on the prostate).

What are others running for a total TT? Also, what are the positives and negatives of being on the higher end of normal?

20mg Test Cyp every other day. 50iu HCG daily. TT around 800, E2 around 26.

This has changed alot over the past year but I have been on this protocol a while now and like it. I don't feel my muscles are as full as when my TT was over 1000, but, I also don't need an AI at this dose. Any higher and my E2 creeps quick.

I'd bet that dose doesn't put you at 1000, btw. Maybe 900? Which is still a lovely TT. I'd be more concerned with the estrogen following along, than the high T levels. Estrogen aside, my skin gets too oily for my liking as TT climbs over 900. Acne also follows. Granted, everyone is different, but for me - a TT of 750-850 is pretty prime time and sustainable.

I don't really use my TT value to determine if I'm on the right track or not, I focus on FT instead.

Using Labcorp's ranges I like my FT around 25 pg/ml, which puts my TT around 800 ng/dl and sensitive E2 around 30 pg/ml.

I take 90 mg of T cyp every 4 days. That keeps my total T at about 1200 (range 250-1100). That puts my free T at about 300 (range 30-135). I do not feel any adverse effects. Age 72. Weight: not quite 150 lbs.

I know that is well above normal TRT, but it makes me feel like superman. I have a passion for biking. At a total T of 1200, I can be at the front of a group of guys that I ride with even though some are 20 to 30 years younger. Yesterday, at a total T of about 800, I could not keep up and was near the rear of the group.

The reason my T was that low is that I had backed off for a blood test. My insurance company will not pay for TRT if total T exceeds 800. Also, my doctor prefers my free T to be in range (<135), but doesn't get too concerned with free T as long as it is comfortably below 200.

125mg E3.5D has been my protocol for almost six years. This puts my TT around 1000-1100ng/dL and I feel fantastic! Prostate issues are from poor estradiol control, NOT testosterone values by the way. :)

I do feel that it's important to note what truly matters is how you feel, not a specific number. If you feel great at 600ng/dL, more power to you - otherwise, keep experimenting to find that sweet spot.

My .02c :)

For two years I was on 180-200mg per week, TT probably around 1400. I felt great, but after two years I was having difficulty with managing hematocrit, losing iron and having minor health issues that I can't conclusively link to TRT but I suspect are the result of mildly supra TT.

Now I've backed down to 120mg per week and it keeps my TT around 900. I feel fine, but I have definitely lost some muscle and strength and maybe a little libido.

Good to hear. How long have you been on TRT?

900 is great.
1400 is not really TRT man...
Of course you are going to feel more umph!!! At a higher level

Ive been taking 200 mg Test Cyp split in 2 doses per week along with 500 IU HCG 2x a week. I also take an AI but have been trying different doses as my E2 crashed twice. My initial bloodiest had a 24 hour post injection TT level of around 1200 but over 6 months it has slowly risen to around 1450. I am now dialing down the Test Cyp to 160 mg a week to see if I can get the peak down to a more reasonable level, say 1000-1200 as that is around the high end of normal

just lurking in this thread drooling... my test levels are low 200's and I'm waiting for my 1st appt to discuss TRT with my doctor next week. REALLY hoping he has the philosophy that all your doctors have and I'll be able to get in to the 700-1000 range... but for now, boners? not even once...

i hate pinning so its 200mg ew for me with low dose AI if needed. just keep estro in check.
I feel great on hrt, better than ever. sure shitty mood sometimes, but less shitty than if i was not on hrt. i like it. just keep estro in check and go in for bloods, specially at start when fine tuning your hrt ( each of us need to do this) and i highly rec DHEA and/or pregnenolone ed with the hrt.

Hey! What do you dose your DHEA and Preg Supp at per day? You take these instead of HCG I presume? If you have a preference on brand, what do you use and why?

Thanks ahead of time!

Im planning to take a similar dosage, do you take and AI with it?
