What levels of test will the doc let you run?

I was wondering what kind of levels will the doctor let you have. For example 900 being on the high side. Can you ask for your level to be brought to 900. I mean seeing how that is a (reasonable) request?

That will depend on what kind of Dr you seeing, like a HRT clinic can be the best alternative to go for a request like that. With some private Dr or a VA Dr not even think about it bro. Good luck on that...

the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) docs like you to have mid 20 year old testlevels, it varies by doctor though. it equates to about 100mg of test e a week, a lil more or less

going to vary on your doc and where they start you, i did years of gels starting in the 500's and going up to 880 before getting injections. my doctor though 800 was good but when i was 1400 he said that was fine too

I just asked my primary care doctor yesterday who treats me. He says that as long as I keep my Total T in the normal range that he is fine. So basically, he is telling me he just needs to see a lab test showing my TT in the normal range.

Well I got appointment Monday we will see what he says. I would like to be in the 900-1000 range. Are sides an issue with this kind of treatment? I wonder why I'm on the low side I eat and live pretty healthy, I don't drink hardly at all holiday, birthday or something like that maybe. I do get the ( munchies)on occasion.i mean what cause this problem in men these days. I have also notice after work I have to make.. My self get of the couch it's like somebody turn the switch off and I have a pretty nice job. I mean I'm not a hot tar roofer or nothing

I dont think you should concern yourself with a range vs how you feel. Blood will tell you where you are. But its more than just being in a range for test, how is your liver funcitoning in particular range, estrogen spiking at higher numbers, thyroid function, etc. The doctor is going to telll yo where he/she treats to and your going to have to work within that. But again its how you feel you might feel better at 600 with lower estrogen and not taking an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) then being at 800 and having to tak an AI.

My doc was happy keeping me at 450ng/dL until I begged and cried...er...presented a well laid out plan with sufficient citation and proper resources indicating that the upper levels would be more beneficial. ;) I'm jealous of you guys having free reign over your levels, and DAMN Scotty, I get people freaking out when I tell them I am at 250mg/wk!

My testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic is open to me going up to 300 mg test and 100 mg deca per week. I know I pay a little more but would rather get the results I want and not have to deal with the nonsense I hear many going through using a doctor or endo. I get good results with 200 mg as well so use the extra for an occasional blast.

Take a masking agent when you get your blood drawn if you want to go higher. :-)

I couldn't tell you on the estrogen I don't see it on the test. Of coarse I don't really now what I'm looking for lol. I'm just an ol fund country boy . But I appreciate all the help. He'll I appreciate every one on this site putting up with me and all the other goof ball noobs on this site . I will take the advice tho and try to approach it in a tactical mind set .

That's crazy all your docs allowing you to go that high of a dose. Mine doesn't even want me breaking 150/w. I feel good at around 120 though so it does me fine.

If I recall correctly, a "standard" testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dosage is between 100-200mg per week. That gets most guys back into the normal range for total T.

there is sound logic to staying at or under 150 mg per /week. that is the magic number where above that the bone marrow to start producing tons of extra red blood cells and increasing hematocrit , if your good at 150 stay there
