What to do about back pumps?

On back day my pumps are just ridiculous, I can already feel them a few sets in and after about 10, its almost unbearable and I have to cut my workout short....

Is there anything you can really do?

Try adding taurine pre-workout and intra-workout. 3g pre-workout and increase As necessary.

Man up and deal with it..

But on a serious note, maybe try a foam roller? I usually don't like idiots rolling on the floor but the smith machine at the right height makes a pretty good roller for the lower back. I do this on leg days while squatting to keep the back loose.

Foam rollers are worth their weight (they're pretty light so maybe 10x their weight lol) in good brother. Recovery is noticeably better and I use the foam roller vs without. I also use lacrosse balls in a sock, and have a special trigger point therapy tool that's supposed to emulate an elbow and fist for the back etc. works at getting those knots and sores out. :)

I do 6 grams of Taurine ED. 3g AM and 3g Pre workout. Helps alot with those killer pumps, especially that lower back.

hmmmm so I should be taking taurine so I can move during my work outs with out my biceps splitting open? I have noticed that I don't look crazy when I am not pumped and I cant notice I am on steroids. But the pump I get from steroids when I start working out I can immediately tell a big difference

Yeah I see tons of people using them but I've never been one to get too sore. I never take enough time off. I had a slight strain around my shoulder blade area and I had a t-ball (the ones that give a little) laying around and I used that. Worked well but hurt like a mofo in certain spots.

Oh, and I'm sure I look like an idiot rubbing my back up and down the smith machine bar but when people see me squat 405 for reps, people don't say too much other than "that was sick." I guess that guy didn't know what a squat was? haha

The more it hurts the bigger the knot in my experience lol. Getting the good ones out hurts like a mother at times.
