What to do about bloating and water retention

One of the sides I am experiencing from my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is water retention and bloating, I am a very big guy and life is difficult enough as it is trying to function and get around but the bloating and water retention really make things worse. Is there anything that I can take that can assist in getting rid of this?

I am miserable, please help!

Part of the problem with being overweight is that you covert testosterone to estrogen much faster. The more fat your body carries, the more aromatase enzyme you have. I'd get some bloodwork done and see where your E2 (Estradial) is at. You may need to incorporate an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) like Aromasin.
Best thing to do is talk to your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) doc and see what he recommends, he needs to be kept in the loop.

Had a appointment yesterday with my doctor and we reviewed my blood work and my E2 is at 37, I am on a Aromatase inhibitor (AI), my doctor just increased my dosage from .5mg a week to 1mg a week. My problem is that I take it 24 hours after my injection and by then I am already all bloated up. I was told by the nurse that I can take an over the counter diuretic if I like, was just curious what others take for this side effect?

How is your diet? So much is diet related at well.
As far as Aromatase inhibitor (AI) (im assuming its dex) - You may want to experiment with 2-.5 mg doses or even 4 -.25mg doses etc. Im sure you will find one way woks better than others for you.

As long as you don't overdo the dosage, play around with timing and like Jimi says, split it up through out the week. I'd suggest looking at your sodium intake, also. That can cause bloating. And if you aren't already, drink a lot more water, surprisingly, it will help flush out some of the water retention.

Don't take 1mg in just one dose. You gotta split it up to two or three times a week as indicated previously.

I will try that starting next week, already took the full dose this morning. What about timing, should I do as doctor said and wait two days or go by what the script says and start the day of injection?

I take it the same day I inject. Actually, if I were you I would just make it simple. Take .25mg of Arimidex every other day. That is pretty close to 1.0mg per week. Keep things simple if you can. So sometimes you will take adex on the day you inject and sometimes the day after if you do EOD. That's fine. Adex has a 48 hour half-life so you will have a good amount in your system at all times taking it EOD.

Another option is .50mg every 3.5 days.

I like this suggestion and again OP you may find one protocol actually works better than another. You may feel better 2x/week at .5mg each time etc. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is so much trial and error but once you get it dialed in its worth itover the alternative for sure even with the hassles that sometimes arise (which Im sure you know)

if you take it the day after the injection, and feel bloated by then - try taking it the same day as the injection. easy change, which might help
