what to tell the Dr.

I'm 45 yr with test level around 250. Last Mon the urology dr put me on .5mg androgel. He offered the shots as a method but said the peaks/lows were bad and I'd have to go to the office every 2 wks for the shots. This is a navy dr so I'm not sure if he will let me administer my own, but I will ask. Just wondering on what I could tell him to switch me to injections. I'm sure he will say give the androgel more time since it's only been 1 week?

Do some reaserch on the affects of that stuff. Before I started my injections, I looked at all the different methods and I found that the injections were the safest. I started out at 1 ml every 4 weeks and then I would crash after the 3rd week. Then I moved to 1 ml every 3 weeks and I would start to crash a number of days before the 3 weeks were up for my next shot. Then I moved to 2 weeks and after a few times, I felt like I ODed on it. I was up in the middle of the night feeling like I had drank 40 cases of Coke and 40 shots of espresso. It sucked. I finally found that every 16 days is the right number for me and it has been working great. I don't have any highs or lows. You just have to find out what that number is for you. Took me about a year to get to that point but now that I'm here I'm glad I did it.

So yeah, just take a look at the other methods and which method is safest for T replacement therapy. I found numerous pages that said the injections were the safest.

Good luck!

You say Navy doctor, so I am not sure of your exact circumstances but if you have a wife/girlfriend or even better a child just tell the doc you are afraid of getting the gel on them so you would rather do injections. Test gel is a big no-no for women and children.

That's what I told my doc and he had no problem switching me to injections.

The peak and valleys only occur if the fucking idiot prescribes a dose every two weeks. The half life of test cyp is 6-8 days, so tell him to pull his head out of his ass and let you self administer 1x each week.

I have been going to the doctor every 2 weeks for a few years now. I just got him to let me do my own pin's so I will me doing it once a week to maintain levels better.
