what were your goals before your first cycle?

Essentially did you tell yourself you wanted to reach a certain point naturally before starting your first cycle?

For me i would like to as a minimum reach my previous "peak" strength numbers. and get myself down to 15% bodyfat.
So for me that should look like Bench 225x10, squat 315x10, and deadlift 405x10. The only one I am close to now is the bench. On my restricted calls i simply dont have the energy to be doing 10x reps with max weights on deads or squats.
15% bodyfat would also put me at about 225lbs based on not loosing any muscle while cutting
Does that seem like a reasonable natural level before starting a cycle?
 
At what height? If you are pretty tall then it is possible naturally. For a person who is shorter or of average weight it would be near impossible imo. My bench was past that level naturally, my squat was a at 275 for that many reps, and deadlift I only do 315 for 12 reps as I don't want to ever compete in that particular lift. My bench got to 315x9 reps off one cycle and sadly my squat is at 335 for 10 which is not good at all considering the bench number. Your goal lifts will also depend on body type and height. Shorter people like me are better for benching and squatting, and a taller person generally excels at deadlift. What is your current height and weight?

Only way to lift that is juicing hard friend. You won't admit it but without juice most of the people here don't lift shit that is impressive haha

Dude your like 19 years old.. Wtf do you know... Plenty of guys bench 6 plates at your age naturally.

im about 5'11" thinking around 240 right now, haven't weighed in over a month though. kinda chunky ATM though. Last DEXA put my LBM at 191lbs
 
And just to verify my Goal numbers are actually my previous bests. SO I do know its possible naturally, which is why i want to get back to that point first.
 
OP - I'm not sure your age,, but your test levels are prob not near what they were when you were 19,, which is when you were at your peak,, correct ?

With lower test levels and the stresses of having work and career and life (not living at home with mommy like bigger biceps does .. ;) makes things tougher.. I'd just hit the gym and diet hard for awhile and see how things go and go from there,, it sounds like your doing a good job educating yourself on AAS, , soon enough you'll feel ready to go and have all the tools you'll need should you make the choice to run gear.

Yeah I agree my test levels probably aren't anywhere near what they used to be. building muscle was way to easy back then.
In the end I Most likely will end up running a cycle. But i really do not want to commit myself to a life time of use, or needing TRT unless the medical community comes out with a once a year shot for test.
 
At 240 all of your goals sound very reasonable. Your height should not hinder any of your lifts either as it is a great height for squats, bench and deadlift.

Uhhh, my first cycle came after I started TRT and I was hoping that anabolism would help me shed more body fat (like most folks think) faster. I came from a decade of hypogonadism, so my strength was shit compared to my former self, but I did give it a good year before hopping on at supraphysiological doses.

Atleast in my little town I graduated the biggest toughest mother fucker in school.

Thanks Tury. The only lift that I notice my body size fucks me up is deadlifting. And thats just for my first rep. i cant seem to get into proper starting form untill ive picked it up once.

Squatting light I need my heels higher or i Loose balance. But i think that comes from never being shown the proper form, or having anyone to critique it.
 
My goal was to get below 15% body fat prior to starting my first cycle - and that was my goal because 3J told me it was my goal and that is what I am paying him to do (tell me what to do to reach my goals). My final, end goal is to look like Drew Canole. I am not looking for huge.

What was your bodyweight with those lifts? That is fucking crazy. I hope you say like 300 pounds because if not I am calling it quits today on powerlifting lol
 
My goal was originally to just put on some weight and more muscle - being hypo for so many years I was beginning to waste away -
now that goal has transitioned to adding 1/3 my own body weight in mass while staying at a low BF%. .. Impossible for me to do naturally
 
Tury.. If you give up powerlifting you could just shave all that hair off your body and compete in bodybuilding and prob do ok.

Lol, yes - I was 280-285lbs at the time. Sadly, I don't think I'll ever see those numbers again now that I'm getting to be an old fart and have shifted towards the bodybuilding approach.
 
Heres what i thought first cycle i was nervous everyone at work was gonna know i was using because i was gonna get huge and cut. I said to myself ill do one cycle get my desired look pct and stay looking good forever natural! Here I am 3 years later still not huge and cut lol
