i was wondering what the best lat developing exercise would be, mine are lacking a bit, i need them to really flare out

thanks

Pull-ups- definitely the best, t bar rows are pretty good too-most rowing exercises are good for lats--but pull ups are the most basic and probably best overall lat exercise.

What exercises have you been using previously?
ive been doing pull downs and rows, but the pull downs im not really feeling it like before, it actually aggravates my shoulders

Pulldowns suck, and I too have shoulder pains.

Try some wide grip pullups. If you can't do them, find an assist.

WIDTH
Chins
Rack Chins (do a search on these)
Pull Downs

THICKNESS
Deads
BB Rows
T Bar Rows
Hammer Strength Row ( most of these machines are good, IMO)

Wide-grip chins. Follow-up with bent-over bb rows. Then 1-arm db rows (kneeling on bench). Mix it up from there.

Pullups(can do weighted pullups w/weights strapped around yuour waiste w/a belt) Deads def. help I like seated and bent rows 2 but think pull ups and deads would be the most beneficial

from what i can tell just do negative pullups (with weight strap). Do not do full pull ups simply because your arms will tire before you even work your lats. negative pull up is the way to go. also does wonders on your abs
