Whats the deal with SSHBG?

Is a lower number on the scale a good or a bad thing? or do the levels of your other hormones have a say in wether its a good healthy level or not?

Serum Testosterone Level: 16.4/482 nmol/L (8.0 - 30.0)

SSHBG: 13 nmol/L (13.0-71.0)

Serum Oestradiol Level: 149 pmol/L (<= 150.0)

Serum Prolactin level: 111 mu/L (<= 550.0)

I can't find much info on the matter through google :dunno:

Did your endo test you for SHBG or urologist?

I think having high shbg is bad because it results in less free test being available. The lower it is the more free test is available

Have you got your thyroid checked recently?

Hi DoubleEdge

My GP got me got me to test that but ive recently had another blood test done witch my endo sent me for and thats gonna check E2, Test, Cortisol, SHBG etc

My GP did have me do tests for my thyroid aswell and said everything looks fine.. then again she originally said that about my estrogen and testosterone levels..
